I was there very recently and I can honestly say, for whatever reason, I had major urges to stay til dark when all the tourists had left......wanted to light a fire and share some "special time" with someone.....not sure it's the same as wanting a whole group of tour guides etc but, yep, something very magical about that place!!

I have taken part in a ritual involving sex at another less overlooked stone circle, but only candles not a circle of fire, and not Stonehenge... so a lot less Hollywood than your fantasy

Archaeologists like to bang on about how clever the builders of Stonehenge were, but if they were so smart why didn't they site it closer to the M5 and reduce the impact on local traffic? That's what I want to know!
