Newcastle and Gateshead

i am at the nfl game at wembley... should be a good one...

so how long till london gets a franchise? I still think london ends up with jacksonville's..... this one is going coast to coast on american tv so if the atmosphere is amazing, it will get the ball rolling a lot

I'll watch when I understand it.

But for as long as I've got big round hole in my arse I'm never gonna understand that game.

Surely it wouldn't be financially viable for London to have a franchise? Yes there's 84,000 people there now but a lot will be Americans living over here, and fans of the club's playing, would a stand alone London team get that many fans?

Plus what would they do for there away games? they can't fly to America and back every other week, they would have to do it for like a month at a time?

It will either be Jacksonville (the London Jaguars) or else NFL will expand 3-4 teams (London, LA and at least one Canadian city)

I understand that 2020 could see a franchise move to London. The NHL haven't ruled out Wembley as a Super Bowl venue.

It's really quite a simple game ... In theory - offensive team has 4 attempts to move the ball ten yards defending team have to stop them. If they get ten yards they get another 4 attempts to get another ten yards up to the touch down. If they don't make ten yards the other team become the offensive side and get their go.

You can throw the ball or run the ball. You defense can stop players without the ball so they cannot get in to a position to receive the ball.... Simples
