Is having a type you find attractive suddenly like the worst thing in the world? So many skinny/slim threads and fat/bbw/curvy threads. People of all sizes get ridiculously uppity about these threads yet surely people are just expressing a preference which I'm pretty sure is allowed. Being a bbw/fatty myself I'm not going to get offended by a guy who's like "skinny girls all the way for me" fair play it's his choice but so many people, mostly women, get easily offended. If you're skinny and he likes chubby chicks fuck him (not literally) and vice versa. Who really gives a fuck? Most people realise how irrelevant all things on the outside are if we get to know a person and like them on the inside. There will of course also be people we look at and think "phwoar" yet they're vile on the inside. Having a preference with anything should not be a bad thing x

P.s I prefer crisps to chocolate, new potatoes to chips, shoes to boots, pvc to leather just a few examples of other daft things people on here would choose to get crazy over. Mad world x

Body shaming of any kind is fucked up. We are who we are. I will say though not so much here but other places if a chubby girl is abused for her weight it's fine no one defends them but if a skinny woman is called something the whole world erupts. It's just stupid. Some people are skinny and happy some people are fat and happy. As long as we aren't causing anyone harm being who and what we are it shouldn't matter

It's totally ok to have a preference, it's when it's expressed by putting down someone who doesn't fit that preference that it's not. E.g. "Real women have curves", "only dogs like bones" etc.

Plus those always make me cynical that it's someone who thinks the bigger ladies amongst us will then fall at their feet because we're so grateful. There does seem to be statistically more BBW lovers and the I love curves crew on here than in your average pub on a Friday night...is that because they think we're an easier target than slim and toned women?

I understand what you mean OP. I often contribute to a thread and then watch it get "messy". It's perfectly acceptable to express a preference. I have my own, so it wouldn't make sense to criticise others for their own preferences. I am a big girl, I meet guys that are perfectly happy with that and I love that they come back for more. I started that thread and wished I hadn't as, like you say, it spiralled in a direction I was very uncomfortable with - it wasn't meant to be divisive and it started out from an innocent conversation I had with a colleague and was only meant to be a bit of fun.

But you're right when it starts getting personal it stops being fun! Everyone is right for somebody out there, there's no right or wrong, only personal preferences.

I do agree. It's not so much the opening posts that people put up, more the level of responses and rather shallow "I've got something dumb to say" additions....

It feels as if the Fab membership is generally becoming very straight, conservative, low in imagination and weak in personality. The sparkle and wit seems to have gone, with a feeling that it's been replaced by the struggling thoughts of "Mr & Mrs SunReader".

I've so nearly given up and left several times, but then some bright ray of light turns up and makes me think that it's worth holding on for just a brief while longer.

Purely my own personal viewpoint, of course, with which others may disagree, but the feelings are there nevertheless.....

Good. I like to have it clear in my mind about the type of bats fart that's acceptable
