Best app? I think it's mostly Facebook gobbling my mobile data in the background, does one or other system make it easier to make sure usage heavy apps stay off when you're not actually using them??

Nope, onova doesn't. So can anyone tell me the best way to keep Facebook turned off on a mobile so it's not using data unless you are actually using it? ?

Remove the Facebook app.

Use the web browser to access Facebook.

Great Wyrley

Have you tried task manager?

It can close down open running apps

Just tried a couple of those, but I don't see if they're working or not- if you kill a whole bunch of apps then open the killer again, all the same apps are listed? ? Huh?

Getting very frustrated! !

Got no background in settings either, not when I'm on wifi anyway.
