When ever someone emails I also take the time to respond, even if my response is a polite no thank you.

Anyone else find it rude when someone fails to respond?

Nope. FAQ says it not rude not to reply. A non reply is a 'no thank you' without words although I prefer a no reply to mean "yes we'd love you to join us but we can't at the moment but as soon as we berth our yacht, you can come and visit"

Nope, read faqs on here. It's not rude not to reply, I do reply to polite messages when I can, but sometimes get reminders why people don't.

Take no reply as a polite no thanks, not interested

We don't reply to all, not everyone replies to us. It's the way the site works. It's not rude, it's an easy way of expressing your disinterest.

Yes but on here it seems to be the norm

However I am aware how many messages a lady gets on here mostly not very well written

Well it is nearly a whole day since this topic was last done.

And no, it's still not rude.

What is rude is a sense of entitlement and expecting everyone else to conform to one's own wishes, without making any effort to understand why they don't and without bothering to consider their situation and circumstances may differ from one's own.

I used to think it was kind of rude but to be honest all of the folk above who think not, actually have a very valid point. So I guess the answer now is no. Especially when you consider the sheer amount of messages a single fem or couple must get!!!!

I get numerous messages every day from smokers and people who clearly don't fit what I'm asking for.

I'm supposed to waste my time replying when they either couldn't be bothered to read my profile or decided to ignore my preferences?

Not going to happen.

Receive message. Check profile. Hit delete. Sometimes block to stop them wasting my time again.

I will reply if it is a well thought out message with a face picture even if it is a polite no, but if they have not bothered to take the time to actually ready my profile etc then why would I actually reply.

As most have said, the FAQ's deal with this.

You are able to reply to all messages because, as a single male, you don't get anywhere near the same number of messages that women or couples do.

Try and think of those that get hundreds of messages per day and then tell us you would still be able to answer them all

It seems to be the usual, the many idiots spoiling it for the few decent men on here who do read profiles, take heed of the contents and who can string full sentences with polysyllabic words together, coupled with sheer numbers of emails couples and women get, it's no wonder they just get ignored or deleted

I only use my phone and I can only see the first page of messages so I have to keep bulk deleting read messages that aren't suitable just to get through them.

Whenever I've answered someone asking why I've deleted their message it either leads to them trying to convince me or them sending me verbal abuse in which case I will block them.

He seemed surprised to be told no and messaged back along the lines of "Why not? You'll get the shag of your life".

No we don't find it rude but then we read then FAQ when we joined.

It is clear though that so many posters don't bother to read the FAQ or even the site rules.

O.P. No one has an entitlement to a reply on fab not even from a mod or admin. Accept that these people are not interested and move on otherwise it will tarnish your experience here.

I like this response. I believe the dynamic of the site creates it's own rules about what is rude and what is not specifically on here, but anyone who at the start of their Fab experience did not see this as a little rude when someone has made a genuine effort, is the type of person I would have very little interest in meeting.

Nope cause I've seen some of my female/TS friends inboxes and u don't think I'd expect them to respond to the hundreds of messages lol it would be a full time job
