Attention seeking posts

I am going to seek some attention.

There has been much talk lately about people opening new threads just to seek attention.

Why not ? can anyone give me an honest and valid reason why people shouldn't do that ?

Does it do any harm ? can you not just ignore the threads you have no interest in ?

Truth is that the genuine people on the site are looking to meet other people, and to that end the wise ones use whatever is at thier disposal to get themselves notice, it may be the "meet today" section, the "events and meets" section, writing a club review, sending out lot's of winks, friends invites, mails, answering posts in the forum or opening new ones.

How many threads are opened just to say good night or good morning, who is to say these are not "attention seeking" or just friends saying hello and goodbye to each other, does it matter which ?

Someone asks you to check out thier profile for them, genuine attempt to improve thier chances of meeting the right people or attention seeking, who cares, ignore it or post some advice, there is certainly no need to ridicule, bully or abuse the OP.

Hats off to everyone who can come up with good ways to get themselves noticed and get a meet, personally I am happier with those that post new threads for the purpose of attention seeking to those that send friends invites when they have never spoken to you, or those that send winks without even reading your profile to see if your compatible or those that send e-mails without reading your profile.

You can leave your own views to my personal opinion in this thread but beware your response may be deemed by some as "attention seeking"

I agree with you 100% Jed. This site offers many tools for us to use to get ourselves noticed and hopefully have some sexy fun. Why knock people for making full use of them. I'm always pleasantly surprised when we get a wink or a private message from a nice sexy possible playmate. It makes me wonder why those that moan about such thnigs are on here in the first place. If they didn't want the attention then why put themselves out there in the first place?

Trust me I have a history of "giving others something to moan about" but I am trying to change

Big bit of metal, there are some good sayings around and some bad ones, not everything that doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

My favourite has to be

"If at first you don't succeed don't take up parachuting"

Good points raised by the OP and I agree, the site is full of individuals with different characters that make some laugh some cry even and some that will cringe, look at a thread and if you dont like it dont open it, it's not Rocket science

Well said OP, as I would not be talking to the person I hope to meet next week if I had not taken notice of them in the forums, so attention seeking it may be but it works for some people and not all.

I sometimes wonder what happened to Grim there was so many posts by him that caused problems, and he ended up disappearing.

Yes sometimes you have to have a tough exterior, and not take things to heart, as things can get heated, but if we were all the same the forums would be a boring place.

I really don't mind attention seeking threads if its novel and different to others. Something that makes me grin is good with me. Now if its something repetitive i have to switch off. I will have to go away and think of one
