Making money at home (non-sex)

Looking for some inspiration for ideas to make money at home even if I have to learn a craft. Not going to consider baking as its too common nor the likes of Avon, better ware etc. Even anything online like paid blogging etc. Was debating learning candle making.

Well, in doing cushions and curtain repairs or alterations. But I don't have many friends to pass a word around.

I'd google any offer you get and check it out, as there have been a lot of home working scams. Generally they seem to work on the premise that you do work, send it back to the company that supplied the materials and they declare them substandard and don't pay. One highlighted on the wireless involved soldering decorations.

Also there are survey websites, not much money paid but if you have a lot of extra time you can earn vouchers for stores in return for filling them out x

(ok, don't shoot me lol).... plenty of single guys would rather drop 7-10 shirts off when they go to work, and pick them up on their way home rather than have to do it themselves, and happily pay 70p-£1 each shirt.

I know you said not food but I know a lady who fills peoples freezers up and normal everyday things and Dinner party things for People who like homemade not supermarket food. They cant as out working or have so much money they don't wish to make it themselves but like to be seen as they do to there friends.

I used to do outwork for a local company. Putting things in plastic bags and sealing them or counting things and banding them together things like that, it was deadly boring but it meant that I was available if the children needed me and I didn't need to worry too much about child care.

I did this when I was pregnant and for a while after the baby the born. It actually pays pretty well...

Not sure if can mention but toluna is a survey site where you can earn quite well, but it does take ages to earn enough to cash in on what surveys you've done. You have to earn £65 quid before you can cash in. Probably would take you a couple of weeks to earn that, doing a few hours surveys a day. Other sites seem to pay much less.

I'd suggest eBay reselling I pickup things at carboots and the odd charity shop and sell them. I usually put them on Gumtree for a month and if they don't sell put them on ebay. Just be aware of costs and you will need to get the packing supplies but there are really good returns if you do your homework on good items to pick up. Check out some videos on ebay reselling in the UK.

Buy tesco shares today and sell in 6 months time - ha! Mum a pensioner of theirs and their shares are dropping like a stone their profits are dropping and if they don't pull their socks up I'll be surprised they're still around in ten years! Cos fine fare etc were so successful eh!

I've looked into this on numerous occasions but everything I've investigated the money made is poor or it's a total con! Though I am seriously considering the chat line thing if I could track down a legit company.

As for online selling via fb eBay etc it's what everyone else is doing!

Weddings - people aren't getting married as it's no longer a social stigma not to be even if you have kids and it's too expensive (used to work in bridal wear major company around for over 100 years went bust)

I know someone who does it part-time. Earns £20/30p/hr! Works around schedule with the kids.
