does anyone on here have a sense of humour, sent a few messages not to chat anyone up or anything just to engage in conversation, messages deleted no reply, doesn't seem to be many people up for a chat or a laugh :-/

Maybe your sense of humour doesn't match theirs? Sometimes it's all hit and miss.

I know that many don't share my sense of humour. And it's rare to find those that 'click' and can respond to our banter as such. If they do..she's a hotlister.

I think the way to go is here on the forums, I think people save messages for arranging meets or for friends they already know, could be wrong but the social side seems to be in here more...

Don't know if any of the longer members can confirm that or if I'm just talking shite lol, just the way I feel.

Hope that helps?

People often assume the same disinterest from mail looking for sexual stuff too. I just think op is drawing the wrong conclusion. Users want sex and the lighter side. No reply means not with him or not here, right now. Take the responsibility to find the right matches in the right contexts. Keep at it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

If you just want chatter with people then the forum is as good as any other way.

If what you really mean is that you want your sense of humour to get people into bed through that first killer message then keep trying. If they don't reply they are not interested.

Keep sending it again and again until they reply.

Some people aren't looking for friends or chat with people they aren't interested in meeting.

I'd rather spend my time chatting to people I want to meet, looking for people I want to meet and on the fora.

One-to-one chat with someone I don't want to meet, unless they are interesting somehow, is a waste of my time.

If you want chat, try the chat rooms.

I don't use them myself but the name would suggest you may find chat there.

I am much more likely to talk to a guy on the forum. I think it's because on the forums everyone can see what he had said, so he's probably going to be more genuine and not so much of a creepy dickhead.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I chat to people via other means.

However, simply because I do not want to 'have a laugh' with random males I do not know and have no wish to meet, does not mean I have no sense of humour. That assertion is reductio ad absurdum.

I don't have s sense of humour at all.

This becomes quite awkward when I start talking about my time-machine or my mate Nigel (he's a four-armed lizardman) at meets. A lot of ladies grab their underwear and run off at that point for some reason...

I like a sense of humour and someone that just fancies a chat. It can be great and it could lead to great things

Humour is fine in messages, but I'd imagine a few people would be worried that a joke is merely a prelude to asking for a meet and didn't wish to enter into a chain of correspondence.

^this

I fairly often reply that I'm not interested in meeting to "how are you?" messages. Rarely does anyone say they weren't messaging about a meet, and those that do are often not very convincing. Mostly they reply with thanks or ask why, confirming my suspicions.

If you wish to chat the forums are your best bet. On the other hand if you want to get meets the clubs or possibly dogging venues are the places to go.

The site has its uses but unless you have an inordinate amount of time to spare to filter potential meets, it is highly unlikely that you will have much success.

Anyone mailing and asking me for a meet immediately passes the "sense of humour" criteria.
