I'm a bit of a novice (very novice!) stargazer, like to sit out in the winter and pick out the constellations and planets etc and always like to head outside when I know the ISS is heading over!

Haven't got a telescope or owt though so often thought about joining a local society or the like but never got around to it. A bit anoraky I know!!

I always point out constellations when I'm at my friend's house as it's a bit more rural. I'd bloody love someone to teach me properly.

Yeah likewise, I had a bit of a lesson on holiday in Australia a few years back, perfect dark skies, Milky Way clear to see. The Southern sky is so different, Scorpio the Scorpion really dominates
