It's not often that I get chocked up by celebrity deaths but I work with cancer patients and when we set up our unit Linda did a charity night for us to raise much needed funds. She was friendly charismatic and called all the staff angels. Completely gutted to hear of her passing.

I really admire her for saying enough is enough and cease the treatment, as someone who has witness somebody close die of this horrible affliction and go through all that awful chemotherapy for nothing, I was actually pleased when my father died for all the right reasons, it really was a blessed release for all parties.

I hope her last days were special for her and her family.

That's so sad, 66 is no age to die. May you rest in peace Lynda, you have been such an inspiration speaking about cancer so bravely. She really did come across as a very warm and kind woman x

One of the first older women I ever fancied. Always had a naughty look in her eye. I THINK she was in "confession s of a driving instructor". Not a lot of people know that.

So incredibly sad. She wanted one more Christmas with her family, think it's tragic that her last wish couldn't be fulfilled.

She's out of the pain now though, she seemed like a very lovely and courageous lady. R.I.P

I got the feeling he knew about the face book page I am not sure it was because she said she was hoping to be here at Xmas . Yes will be hard for him I am sure. Its sad people dieing and no real age If old you think they had a life but 60s is not old .

There is a campaign running to get all the Oxo ads she was in to be re-run at Christmas.

There's even a Facebook Group set up about it.
