"I don't wish to worry you, but my friends lab nicked a pizza and ended up with a bowel obstruction.....so a doze of the scoot will be a welcome site" It was all of the toppings. She'd had a nibble on the dough and obviously decided that wasn't for her. A

"Scott's first introduction to my cat didn't go so well, he went to the loo, left his kebab unattended and came back to find the cat had eaten half of it! That was a long time ago and they still hate each other haha " Chilli sauce? A

"A friend's dog ate a box of chocolates. The other dog, older and wiser, had hidden the box and we only worked out what had happened when we decided to have a chocolate. An hour later we were still worried having worked out how many were left in the box and how long the toxic chocolate had been in her system. She was fine but I don't think she learnt any lessons at all. " unless its 'proper chocolate' with a high cocoa content then most dogs are ok with eating some.. ours ate some mini caramels and the wrappers were evident for day or two after..

"My Basset once ate the biggest box of Belgian chocolates that I'd bought back for a friend. He's lucky he's still going the amount he ate but he never learnt. He also got the turkey leg one Christmas day - I didnt tell the family just used the meat from the other side " That reminds me of the year our old dog ate the neighbour's Christmas bird!

"My parents dog (golden retriever) once ate a pair of my mums tights. This was discovered by my dad when he was out walking him. The dog was having a poo and was struggling. My Dad landed up having to try and stand on the end of them and push the dog slowly as they came out .... Can imagine I was in tears laughing at this scenario. Luckily though the dog managed to pass them " I'm sitting here imagining that and sniggering - funniest thing I've heard about for ages! Glad the dog's ok but I imagine your dad is scarred for life!

" Was out for a mountain bike ride a few yrs back, 2 days before Xmas. Rode past a really ramshackle farm (we call it The Dingles) and saw a big tomcat dragging this HUGE raw turkey across the mud and shite of the farmyard - the cat actually growled at me when I stopped to look! Guess turkey wasn't on the menu that year

"Something tells me the woofer might regret what she's just done later! Popped the garlic bread in the oven and left the pizza (extra hot chilli beef!) on top whilst we nipped out to feed the fish. Came back in two minutes later. Half of it gone. The dog is now full of chillis and spicy beef. Hopefully she'll learn the lesson not to snaffle other peoples food. Guess it's just garlic bread, warm chocolate donuts and Haagen Dazs for me then tonight! Anyone else's pets enjoy treats other than pet food? A" You wouldn't want to be the dog in the morning? .. My thoughts were I wouldn't want to be the owner in the morning, I wouldn't want to be picking that up. I hope you offered her a glass of milk to cool the tonsils lol

"How's the dog this morning? X" Sorry - busy day!! She was fine. Obviously has a cast iron stomach (like me!! ). Was panicking about finding a 'present' on the floor this morning but she's right as rain! Fox has taken her for a run on the beach this afternoon whilst I've been doing a weeks worth of ironing whilst listening to loud tunes. I'm anticipating a very mucky dog when they get back. So I'll have to clean the bloody car as well! A
