Beko Ovens and Fridges

Hertford

Bit concerning to read that Beko ovens have been linked to at least ten deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning. Most have been recalled for repair but it appears that there are still 7498 which have the potential to kill. About twenty household fires and one death caused by their fridge freezers. This information is from an article in the Daily Mail.

Have Beko not paid The Daily Heil for their last full page advert or summat ?

I did hear about a guy being killed caused by a Beko fridge catching fire. I wouldn't want to take the risk tbh

I'm a firefighter and have attended 2 fires that started because of Beko fridge freezers. They are very cheaply made

I seem to remember a recall several years ago. They sent an engineer out to check mine and gave it the all clear.

have worked for both Expert logistics ( mainly Beko ) and Hotpoint doing white goods delivery's shocked at the amount of times we were sent to collect fridges and freezers for investigation that had been involved in fires tho some of the fires were caused by homeowners not listening and plugging the appliance in strait away before the gasses had settled this causes the pump to run continuously and catch fire . have to say the beko appliances tended to die a lot quicker than Hotpoint especially the washing machines.

My house got flooded and I lost all my white goods, freezer and cooker were both beko, glad they got wrecked.

Hated the cooker anyway, was a pain in the arse to light the grill and looked ugly.

A friend had a Beko tumble dryer. It caught fire and his home was badly damaged
