Should they ever regroup?

Were they good?

Anyone got any fave songs/ABBA memories?

Love Abba, but don't think they will regroup.

Weren't they offered a billion dollars to reform by a sultan a few years ago?

If they turned that down then I'd guess that they're never getting back together.

If they ever regrouped I think the interest in their shows would be phenomenal. They could name whatever price they liked.

I don't think they will though. Isn't one of them a bit fragile mentally now ?

Newcastle and Gateshead

should they reform... god no!! and potentially ruin any legacy they have

no one likes to remember "fat elvis"... they all want the on in the soldiers uniform....

I actually like listening to abba... I have done the "do you have a favourite abba song" thread before... lol

They were fantastic in their day

If they regrouped, I do not think they could even scratch the surface of the performances they made in their prime.

I would sooner remember them as they were then rather than see them trot out as a shadow of the group they were.

In terms of memories, I still think Winner takes it all is one of the best pop songs ever written and it's lyrics are timeless.

Speaking of timeless, Anna Frid Lyngstad has worn exceptionally well. Beautiful, beautiful lady.

I still would

I love ABBA! Nothing is better than the windows open and dancing round the house to ABBA while getting the housework done :D

The music was amazing and lives on with things like the Mamma Mia show. The band will never regroup.

See with Abba, people think it's all about happy pop songs.

That is what may have made them the superstars they became, but seriously, take time listen to the lyrics of some of their 'darker' songs. True genius.

The day before you came : another one of my faves and not one of their best known, amazing lyrics

To a tee, they describe how mundane and routine life can be until you have someone to enjoy it with.

Very well crafted song.

Some of their songs are very deep and beautifully written. Slipping through my fingers is a personal favourite.

I love Abba.

Like an angel passing through my room.

Slipping through my fingers.

The day before you came.

Are among my favourites.

Should they regroup? No.
