The OH as offered to buy me some and was looking for advice on best place to purchase them from for the more fuller figured lady. Have a size 8 wide fitting feet. Any advice welcome

Seen some lush ones on LH. Im just wary as I have wide fitting feet and a slight large calf.

With thigh highs, always buy one size larger. I have a few pairs, and some have a side zip and a lace-up bit so you can fit them precisely.

Mine are a brand called Funtasma, cant remember the site but I bought them online. They do wide fitting as well as regular and I just bought my normal shoe size.

Mine are zips but you do have a bit more flexibility with laced ones Id guess.

You could do worse than buying a couple of cheapy pairs off ebay. You won't be able to go for country walks in them, but at about £25 a pair, they'll give you an idea of what you want. And they re-sell for not much less, as I have found!
