so aslong as she is using Wi-Fi wherever she is it will be free. I only ask because you hear of people going abroad and racking huge phone bills due to roaming charges and stuff. ive never been abroad so I don't know how it works

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

On wifi its free but just be careful that it doesnt connect to roaming when wifi isnt available, otherwise she might end up using that by accident when she thinks she is connected to wifi.

Might also be worth checking different data bundle options with her network provider - some have them have for them for quite a few tourist destinations.

Kent

If you ring your phone provider some will do a bolt on for extra internet access, I think with mine the days I don't use it it's free but if I use it it's £2.50 for the day but that's unlimited use for that day then, might be worth it for peace of mind if you are unsure of the wifi situation, tell her to switch off her phone when she's not using it.

Also, some contracts need to be activated for roaming so if she hasnt been away with the phone before it might be worth checking that out too if she wants to use it for texts/calls etc

Northampton

pc to pc is always free for calls..

I 'think' typing mobile to pc is also free (unsure if you can chat and if thats free), but pc to phone for calls requires credit.
