Retro TV revivals

Last week I almost let out a little bit of wee when it was announced that a new series of Twin Peaks is going to be made, well over 20 years since the originals.

Not since Doctor Who was brought back in the naughty noughties has a revival of a TV show made me so excited

Which TV shows from your youth or childhood would you have back on the box and why?

"Blakes seven"

Rumours keep floating around about remakes of Blakes 7 but nothing ever seems to materialise.

Shame, I loved Blakes 7

My favourite was the fourth season.

I quite enjoyed the 2008 reboot of Knight Rider, but unfortunately it didn't appear popular enough for them to do a second season.

Blind date. Before they messed around with the format!

And that one with michael Barrymore when the contestants were in teams on two and moved spaces across a lit up board.. Can't remember what it was called!?

I thought this may be about the hardware.

A small brown wood and glass box on four spindly legs with three buttons out front.

I feel all nostalgic now.

Bristol

Twin Peaks news has me practicing my Audrey Horne cherry stalk tongue tying in excitement. Now if there was a Firefly announcement I would make a noise that translates as 'squee' and run around in the excited manner of a small child who's just been told school is cancelled in the morning.

I've been watching the reruns of Twin Peaks and Firefly on the SciFi channel. They're as good as I remember them...

Did anyone watch the Battlestar Galactica reboot?

It was OK, but I still preferred the original.

The newer one just seemed to drag everything out.

UFO would be great, I've caught the odd ones but it looked promising.

And someone had to get up off their bum to go and press one of those buttons to change the channel.

Kids today would have a hissy fit if they had to do that these days ... lol xxx
