It could be my face that isn't working right

That doesn't have a power switch. It's hard wired to the power source.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

My mirror misbehaves all the time.....I go to work quite often not having looked in the mirror before leaving the house and looking like I got dressed in the dark - luckily for me they like me and are used to my 'interesting' clothing/hairstyle choices
