Hi - anyone up to talk. Had a really bad dream and need to be brought back to reality. Woke up scared and heart racing - like being a kid again xxx

It does happen. I myself usually have trouble getting to sleep in the first place.

I think I will when I've settled. Needed to hear from someone so my brain knew I was awake. Sometimes I drop so deep back into sleep I slide right back into the nightmare and it picks up again x

I've had that too. It used to terrify my ex. Normally I can't sleep but when I do I have such vivid nightmares & sometimes sleep paralysis x

That can certainly be a worry - especially if it's happened before.

Thanks all. I normally fall asleep with the world service on - sods law I didn't tonight. Although it has been know that I've incorporated that into dreams.

May also try a book soon - good idea to take my mind off it x

Try lucid dreaming it really good tell your self through out the day that you will be lucid ....have you had a dream were you know your dreaming and you can fly at will its the best thing it feels so good

I get pretty lucid in my nightmares - have to wake myself up when I get scared. Never remember the good ones x

Nothing scares more than fear. Whatever was in ypur dream, tell it to go do one .. give it the finger, chat on here a while before going back to dleep. You now have lots of people cyber spooning you xx

most nightmares go away by morning - ive had one or two in the past that i can relive in my mind to this day - wonder why that is - fascinates me dreams and stuff

My 8 year old daughter has had the occasional bad dream sometimes when she's stayed at mine. Only affected my 6 year old boy twice. Usually they pretty much go straight back to sleep though.

I used to practice this. You're right, it's the best. I done it because I get a lot of nightmares. If I was having a bad dream, I would just jump off a cliff or something. Then I would wake up. Nightmare over. I should do it again. It was good fun.
