You've got to create an online account, then change the settings.

Download an app called "Hola" from playstore. Content lock is an ongoing problem from ee even when its deactivated and Hola bypasses it

It's afault with ee, I've had it for the last few weeks, not every time just now and again, turning content lock on and off works and toggling aircraft mode overcomes it.

Same here. I finally got through to customer service to discover it's an ongoing problem their end. The old off and on again cliché seems to do the trick on mine.

It drives us nuts, been happening for nearly 6 months, rang Customer Services 3 times, still an ongoing issue.

Opera browser works, download that, although it's not great as you can't magnify pages, but better than nowt lol xx

I have the content lock removed, doesn't stop it randomly coming back on. The other day I was browsing the forum happily, had replied to a post and went to reply to another.....content lock was back on again. It suddenly removed itself about half an hour later.

It's a glitch with ee that they just can't seem to resolve

No it isn't that simple. A well known problem with ee even when you've had it removed it randomly puts it back on.....and then removes it....

and the same thing happened to me a few months back I just called them up made them aware of it not happened again since if it does I will call again as long as it's not happening several times a day I don't see the big deal

And if it was happening that often I would call up threatening to leave unless this issue was resolved immediately or I was offered some sort of compensation like a reduction on my bill for the period that I was effected

if you have a iphone then the technical answer is to go into

settings....

safari....

Clear history and cookies...

turn off the phone.... turn it back on... and it should reset

but the simpler answer as everyone else has said is to just download the "opera mini" app...

thank you for the apology most people wouldn't bother I was just trying to be helpful sharing how I resolved this issue and for me it was treating to leave and pointing out a few facts like I was paying for a service I wasn't receiving etc... but I do accept this approach may not work for everyone

if they try saying you have to pay to get out of your contract remind them they are not providing the service as offered so therefore the contract is void

The right place

I use the Opera browser but it still sometimes gets blocked by EE filters.

I think EE has different rules for the old T-mobile network to the old Orange network. And also differences between 3G and 4G networks.

Sometimes if I turn off 4G I can connect.

Central

At least you have some bargaining power when it comes to lowering your rental at renewal. I use Opera on main PC and opera mini on the phone as you can synch your favorite sites, passwords etc. Great web browsers.

I put opera mini on my xperia z1 compact abd it rarely works, when it does load any pages up it takes about five minutes per page. I decided to just put up with the random content lock issue
