Ok so I have this airbrush painting by an illustrator called Steve Simmons of Darth Maul, it was done at the Manchester comic book convention I think about 1998..

Its a great one of a kind piece but its not my thing.. Does anyone know where would be a good place to sell something like this?

I've tried going onto Star Wars forums but it seems to be for the older stuff!

If anyone is a fan and has any idea of where I can put it up for sale that would be great thanks!

(Already tried Ebay, twitter and facebook groups)

I suppose it comes down to how much you want for it. You could easily sell it on Ebay. If you set your reserve price too high though, you might struggle.

Why not write to an auctioneer who might specialise in this field and ask their advice

It's only worth what somebody will pay.

But the older Star Wars stuff is a lot more valuable

If he is a well known illustrator and have proof it was done by him then I would fund specific collectors of his stuff and if there is any interest, otherwise it's eBay and take ya chances.

Brighton - even Hove!

I'm a starwars fan. I'd only buy something like that with providence, eg. a letter or certificate of authenticity. A specialized auction might work.

Hi Kate,

Are you able to provide a picture of the painting if it isn't listed anywhere online anymore?

And as another poster has already asked previously, is it signed, or does it come with any other kind of verification of its authenticity?

I might be interested as I'm a huge Star Wars fan and familiar with the artist (especially if you throw in a night with yourself with K and I to sweeten the deal!).

J x

You could try contacting Generation Gallery in Manchester (Google 'generation gallery manchester' should be first on the list), as they sell Star Wars artwork and might buy it as well.
