I just had frozen microwavable pulled pork..it was fantastic..I never bothered with the barbecue sauce as it was tasty enough..besides, not keen on bbq sauce anyway

From a taxi drivers point of view, they're a bag of shite. Though they do fill a hole and occasionally you'll find quite a nice one but the best ready meals are the ones you've made and then frozen yourself.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I used to. They were a quick fix during a busy life. However, I completely changed my diet to cut out processed and junk food. After a while on that I found myself one day in a rush and bought one from Sainsburys.

Although it was one I had enjoyed before I found it in edible. It was unbelievably salty and had a very strange unfood-like taste.

I've not touched one since.

No and no.

I actually make my own now, it's surprising what you can freeze in a ready to go state - even down to rice, mashed potato and the like.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I always have store cupboard stuff in to rustle up a quick meal, as well as casseroles and things in the freezer, so I never buy ready meals.

If I had to grab something quick id rather have a carton of nice soup, a chunk of bread and a tub of Lurpak

I avoid them like the plague, can't beat fresh made stuff, and knowing what's going into your meal (in as much as it's possible, of course).

I'm with the Prof here, always cook ma own and freeze for later usage. Ready meals have far too much salt and other unneccesarry ingredients for my liking

I used to eat them as a teenager but not any longer. Every single one I just find really bland.

The only microwave meal I do have is Tesco's microwave Tikka Masala. I find that a genuinely good curry haha. But I don't have it too often (stinks out the house and me lol) like once every few months.

Tesco's indian meals are very good. Would be the only ones I would buy if I want something quick

Never freeze mash as it crystalises too much when frozen and never has the unique quality that initially had
