Love it, but nowhere near Tyne & Wear I'm afraid-although I have ridden around there.

I'm a regular cyclist... also no where near Tyne n Wear. Also I try to stick to the roads, my skinny tyres don't like the rough stuff.

It's great to know we all like a good ride. We did 103 miles in just over nine hours yesterday had a great day.

Cycling yes, off road or trail riding sadly not. I prefer riding on the roads.

Love road cycling, not so much when the weather changes though. I'll get my turbo set up again soon. I am terrible for perving arses and legs of guys in Lycra on their road bikes. I slow down for a better look. Often cheers up my drive to and from work!

Turbo's are the work of the devil - although I do have one set up in the garage, I try to extend the outdoor season as long as possible!

Good winter kit and mudguards are a FAR better option than that horrible torture machine

I built a jet engine out of an old turbo, if I could fit it to a push bike I'd consider riding it all the time!

I've got mudguards and the winter kit . Can't always get out of the house though , so I turbo then. I agree it is the work of the devil ! Boring too !

I dare say a few guys take it easy behind you to admire the view as well.

I used to have a turbo set up in t h e garage years ago, with a video of the tour De France playing

One of the perks of no longer racing is that I no longer own a turbo trainer!

I don't do as much cycling as I used to, more in to running and haven't got the fitness to run and do a 30 mile commute!

I'm going to buy a cadence/speed/distance add-on for my GPS. That way, any miles logged on the turbo will count towards my yearly total.

It might be the only way to inspire me to get on the bloody thing!

I have considered buying one in the past, only considered mind..........

I don't mind riding in the cold, that's what thermal base layers are for. I just tend to shy away from cold and wet, it takes the enjoyment out of the ride and makes it feel more of a chore.

That's what I would think riding a turbo would be at home, a chore to be done but not enjoyed. Is there any way to alleviate the boredom of it?

Yeah watch telly lol, but seriously there are videos on you tube you can follow, or you can buy dvds of workouts, there's a serious which have mark Cavendish and Peter kenough on them, 3 leg racing I think there called, there run in the Isle of Man by kenoughs dad, or if you've got a spare 800 quid you can buy a tacx set up with built in tour rides

I'll happily ride in most weather.. anything but snow really. I rode 20 miles to work last year in -10c and freezing fog.. that was fun
