Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I was out with Invictus last night and he wasn't half moaning about all the Fab Forum Socials he missed while he was travelling through time and relative dimensions in space. So I thought it was time to start thinking of another one.

This post is to see if anyone is up for a Fab Forum social some time next February. Say yay if you are.

Sorry should have said, it won't be in York. We usually go for a club in the midlands to cut down travel time. I'm just checking who's up for it before we pick a club.

Nothing's been set yet - but at the FFFF last month Paul, Fox and I had a chat about doing one at Xtasia late Jan/Early Feb.

Most clubs I'm sure would welcome a forum invasion!

You just have to arrange with the owners - but don't forget there'll be policies re admission (particularly if the chosen night clashes with rules on single make entry, as is often the case on Saturdays!), potential membership/temporary fees, negotiation on discounted/free entrance, comms re local hotels, guest list management, emails and PMs with event details etc.

It's not an easy task to arrange - trust me!

As for clashes with other events - you'll never get exclusive use of a club or get to dictate any of the above considerations - it's a question of discussion and negotiation. Clubs will have their own calendar of events already. Some Fab members have favourite clubs, some they've been to and some they want to try. Some will see names on a guest list (if published!) and that will affect their decision as to whether to attend or not. Fab 'politics' are impossible to avoid.

In reality - it's a ball ache to organise!

But they're also great nights. And as we all keep advising people to try clubs and socials - I don't see the problem in there being as many as people want to run.

They're not compulsory, after all!

Paul just asked us to get involved as we'd arranged the one last Feb. As I said above - I'm sure any club would welcome the business so if others have a _iew to trying somewhere else - go for it!

No idea what the format will be - or any dates etc.

It'll be whatever the club are happy to offer.

You'll never please everyone. Some won't want to do more than one in a short time, others will be happy to do more. That's the joy of clubs, Fab - and life. But the more choice that's out there - the more people may be able to attend one, another or more!

I'm just thinking logistics really - if I say to a club 'hey, wanna help me entertain 100 people' and only 10 turn up because the rest are all socialed out then its not good business sense.

I very much doubt anything we may help organise will be billed as a 'forum social' - if a social at all!

Part of it is getting another club to agree aswel. Remember Hottiebottie and Lukes birthday was meant to be at Vanilla alternative to begin with but they wanted to limit the number of single guys so venue was changed to Jaydees where they were happy to welcome everyone.

I'm just thinking logistics really - if I say to a club 'hey, wanna help me entertain 100 people' and only 10 turn up because the rest are all socialed out then its not good business sense.

It comes down to the fact that most clubs have this ridiculous, single males on a Friday, couples on a Saturday policy which means that for a Saturday social you need almost any club to bend their rules and it is up to them by how much. Many clubs won;t let single guys in for a social because the extra revenue isn;t worth pissing off regulars on a couples only night. If clubs mixed up the nights that did and didn't allow single guys to attend then there would be many more options as to clubs that could hold a social.

Can we quickly clarify. The FFFF event isn't a social. Its our way of saying "Thank You" to the Fab community by throwing a free event into the mix. We run them as and when we feel like saying Thank You, not when asked to run one.

We have a fair number of events already planned for this period. Feb 14th for example is a Saturday, and we'll make it a themed Valentine party night for Fabbers, but not an FFFF, or a Social.

As mentioned, DangerouslyCurvy is having a Birthday party here in March, which she is building up a good list for, but yet again, its not a Social, or a FFFF.

If you'd like a Social here, and we accept that a few would like to try elsewhere, we're more than happy to discuss options with someone.

One we could offer you, is a Social Foam party, on Friday 30th Jan. A month after the Christmas chaos, and a few weeks before Valentines. End of month, everyone has a little cash in their pocket, maybe.

The problem we do get with Socials, is we have no control over who arrives here. Last and only time we did a "Social" the re_iews went mad about poor behaviour, pack mentality, etc. but then when we do a FFFF event and say we only want "Verified Singles", we get the opposite feedback about not giving guys a chance to get verified. It can be a no win at times!

If, as suggested, we ran a Foam Social, then we would need someway of both limiting, and verifying who is here. If you want to get naked and enjoy the foam, then you need to be able to trust who's in beside you!! The last thing we'd want the day after is loads of re_iews saying "I was groped by a stranger".

So, we'd be happy to discuss a Social, Foam party with anyone from the forums. Obi, if you fancy this, you've our blessing. If anyone arranges one for another club, we'll probably add our names to the list, be good to get out, lol.

"Can we quickly clarify. The FFFF event isn't a social. Its our way of saying "Thank You" to the Fab community by throwing a free event into the mix. We run them as and when we feel like saying Thank You, not when asked to run one.

We have a fair number of events already planned for this period. Feb 14th for example is a Saturday, and we'll make it a themed Valentine party night for Fabbers, but not an FFFF, or a Social.

As mentioned, DangerouslyCurvy is having a Birthday party here in March, which she is building up a good list for, but yet again, its not a Social, or a FFFF.

If you'd like a Social here, and we accept that a few would like to try elsewhere, we're more than happy to discuss options with someone.

One we could offer you, is a Social Foam party, on Friday 30th Jan. A month after the Christmas chaos, and a few weeks before Valentines. End of month, everyone has a little cash in their pocket, maybe.

The problem we do get with Socials, is we have no control over who arrives here. Last and only time we did a "Social" the re_iews went mad about poor behaviour, pack mentality, etc. but then when we do a FFFF event and say we only want "Verified Singles", we get the opposite feedback about not giving guys a chance to get verified. It can be a no win at times!

If, as suggested, we ran a Foam Social, then we would need someway of both limiting, and verifying who is here. If you want to get naked and enjoy the foam, then you need to be able to trust who's in beside you!! The last thing we'd want the day after is loads of re_iews saying "I was groped by a stranger".

So, we'd be happy to discuss a Social, Foam party with anyone from the forums. Obi, if you fancy this, you've our blessing. If anyone arranges one for another club, we'll probably add our names to the list, be good to get out, lol.

Were in for any midlands socials although obviously prefer west mids
