swinging and the classes

So am guessing that most people on here either class themselves as working or middle class.

Yes a few are going to say I don't label myself and so on.

Like it or not most of us are in one class or another.

My question is this

Swingers come from all members of society but all the people we have met are definitely working and middle.

So where do all the upper class go?

The aristocracy. These guy's invented debauchery lol

Do they have their own private clubs that us oiks don't know.

And luxury swinging clubs?

Coz let's face it most clubs are by and large pretty grotty places unless they roughing it can't see upper classes mingling with us.

Thoughts on the class system and swinging please

I have limited experience of UK swinging venues but have found that one in particular stands out for having "higher class" (or maybe just richer) people than others. I am referring to Killing Kittens when compared to AbFabs, our place 4 fun or Vanilla Alternative.

I have also heard Killing kittens is more "upper class" if you want to use that term. And Killing kittens parties are done more on an invite only basis, but not sure if thats true?

Errrrrm, I think everyone was at it since the year dot, - not to mention the Romans, biggous dickous & all!

I don't believe in the class system that we have but there are the good, bad & aholes throughout all walks of life, - who cares how they class themselves!

I am really not sure that there is much left of a "class" system in our country, other than one created through self- perception. What does working class mean? Many of us work. Some earn more than others. Some have jobs which would fit the traditional bracket of working-class yet earn much more than those in sectors which might have been described as middle- or upper-class. It may be much more to do with how you see yourself than a class system per se. Hey, and if you can say per se in a sentence, you probably perceive yourself as middle-class.

Sorry for the class ramble. I really do not think it has much to do with swinging.

Really? Interesting. What class are you? What class are your friends and neighbours?

I'm working class,so are my neighbours. One of my regular men is upper middle class. We are worlds apart. Teachers I worked with were middle class. There are people in my area who could be described as lower class. It may not be as prominent now but we are not a totally classless society yet

Are you working class because of your career or your upbringing or attitude? I am genuinely interested. And "upper middle class?" Is that like lower upper class? What score has to be obtained to reach that ... And what are the criteria for obtaining the required score?

I go a few times a month to a party in a mansion in Birmingham and the owner is undoubtedly very wealthy. Ive been to various parties in very large expensive houses where the hosts, dare i say the dreaded word, are professionals. I dont think any have been aristocrats or titled but who knows.

I think people of all ages, class and culture are into recreational sex

I get that. But teaching is perceived to be a middle class profession but some of the teachers I know are anything but.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Class by profession, by earnings, by home ownership and/or personal wealth or by birth/breeding?

I am peasant class by birth, working class growing up and in my early career and middle class by career now. Not upper middle class as I don't have the birth and education to claim that.

I'm too old to get invited to the exclusive parties with the hoi polloi.

I've been having a think and the classes could be reclassified as:

First Class

Business Class (all those claiming to be professionals)

Economy Class (most of us)

Budget, no-frills, airlines.

Everyone can be in the mile high club and there's enough opportunity in the first three classes for intermingling - even if it's accidentally walking through the drawn curtain.
