I've realised that there seems to be loads of good looking guys according to their profile. Yet when you go to the chat room and actually see people for real it is a very much different story.

We all know there's fake pics used on here, but I didn't realise how many.

Makes me feel better

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I think most people try to post pics where they have tried to make a bit of an effort to look half way decent - and why wouldnt they?

Just because they go on cam in their scruffs, not had a shave, or dont have the opportunity to take a dozen crap shots and delete all but the most flattering ones, doesnt make their pics fake.

But if you think pics really are fake then just report them.

I look as bad in my pics as I do on cam. That's why I hide my pics and don't go on cam

There's getting a good shot and there's fake pictures.. I don't blame anyone for selling themselves.

Living in a Scottish office somewhere

There was a guy on yesterday who had lovely pics and a meet up for the same night. What confused me was the pics belonged to an Italian model who at the same time was on a photoshoot in a different country. Nice try all the same but quite scary for someone turning up to a meet expecting the genuine owner of the pics to open the door and getting the complete opposite

Assume you reported the profile?

Does make me wonder what they think the reaction of someone would be when faced with a completely different person!

"Oh well - I'm here now. May as well crack on!"

Somehow - I seriously doubt it!

This is the thing.. im not judging peoples looks as such (although I am a bit).. its more about using pics that don't resemble you in reality.

When I look around at the competition it seems that 80% of guys gym 7 times a week. Yet on cam It looks like they are mainly salad dodgers

If you treat life on Fab (or swinging in general) as a competition - you're setting yourself up to lose!

The only person you should ever worry about is yourself. You can't change other people. You may not be able to change too much about yourself physically either - but attitude and personality will generally go at least as far (if not further!) than purely physical characteristics.

Those that worry about the 'competition' often spend more time bemoaning others than focussing on things they can influence - themselves, their approaches and interactions.

They're really the only things that matter.

thanks for the advice..

Referring to them as competition was a figure of speech to be fair. But yeah I agree with what you are saying.

I don't go on cam but I do FaceTime people just as i am, no complaints so far even in my onesie

Where as photos I do make an effort to make them look good.

I am surprised its such a shock to you try going to one of the socials many of the people there look little like their profile pictures.
