I don't understand the reasoning behind putting that to be honest. All the guys I have met that have been exceptional in my opinion, haven't declared it. That seems to be what contributes to them being exceptional.

And that's all you can be. I'm never gonna win any beauty contests, I can't do owt about my cock size, I don't have the time or discipline to be super toned (although I am gymming to lose weight!), but I try to be honest, friendly respectful and reliable.

But the punchline is, this is essentially a sex dating site so physical perfection will always be high on most peoples requirements list before they're going to be prepared to even consider getting down and dirty with someone.

We don't have that on our profile. We're not generally looking to meet single men. There are some we see for whom we would consider making an exception to that rule. The parameters of that vary according to what catches my eye and we don't expect anyone to jump through hoops which is why we don't say it...We do the approaching if we see someone who stands out

I've put it in ours (Bo here). For me exceptional is someone, first and foremost, who can string a sentence together without text talk, hunni, babe etc; someone who is not overly pushy, can carry a conversation and not every second pic a cock pic.

It's a tough gig as a single loon no mistake. Much as D has the free reign to do what she so wishes on here, with or without me, (as I'm in the road so much) I really don't envy turning the tables at all. I'm sure I'd get pretty down as a single bloke on here.

I totally agree with Bo and in his definition he never once mentioned anything about appearance. Although looks are very important it's attitude that's the deal breaker. Also for me exceptional means not the norm, it's mostly couples or the fabled single female we would like to meet lol.

But occasionally as an exception to the rule we'd like to meet a single guy.

Not up our own arses honestly just not interested in the fancy a fuck messages or people who would send them.

Is that exceptional? I would see that as the norm. It is certainly what I always do. I don't consider myself exceptional....those who don't are just Nobs......(but from the forums in general a lot may be just that)

I can confirm I'm the very best 'me' there is though.

So if that's not good enough for others - I'm really not going to worry!

Seeing 'exceptional only' or similar on a profile doesn't bother me and certainly wouldn't ever be a deciding factor on whether to get in touch. You never know if you fit someone's preferences/tastes til you ask the question.

Who doesn't like a head turning type of guy (or a woman). I haven't met lots of men but I have met different types of men. from slim to curvy. The majority made me laugh which is the main thing for me. Im not saying I didn't have a couple of favourites, who doesn't? And yes I'd like to meet them again but it's not going to happen so I moved on. So basically a nice guy is what counts who can make me laugh.

That's because this is a sex site, and they can. Basic Keynsian supply and demand.

So many men desperate for sex that that the 'unexceptional' women (as you call them) can dictate their terms.

In very simplistic terms they can raise the bar for casual sex much higher than if they were looking for a longer term partner in the dating game. Then natural selection tends to be more prevalent - i.e. the unexceptional women will find it much harder to pull the exceptional men.

Just the way it is!
