How will that work? Quarantine everyone until they are cleared? I can't see that happening

The nurse became infected after taking care of the priest they sent back from Africa, they know where the source of infection came from which makes it easier to isolate,I hope the nurse pulls through

I expect the hospital heeds its infection control guidelines more astutely now

That sounds pretty sensible to quarantine him

I pity the people who are going to have to implement the screening if it takes place

Sounds like this will be the only way, but will cause very long delays! Life has to be more important though

in Lancashire

screening should be done in the area's of where the outbreak is and it should be mandatory however don't know if in the early post contact stage it is evident so it may not work..

think its probably a bit late and if the predictions are only half correct it isn't looking good..

Why is everyone all worried?

You can only catch it off someone who's got it.

Unless it becomes airborne. Then panic.

Just one question, is there oil in Africa by any chance?

about 21 days delay apparently! the incubation time is 21 days during which no symptoms are shown. Airports are the danger zone though not hospitals. Most worrying is the American case how many did he have secondary contact with using 4 airports Africa, Belgium, and 2 in the USA. thankfully it's not air born and survival time of the virus outside the body (door handles etc.) are a lot lower in our temperatures than they are in Africa.

We had this virus in the UK back in the 80's never became a serious outbreak.

Hmmm. Unless she's touched anything the man who died touched with her bare hands, then that's not a good sign.
