How many people are fed up with all the bullshit. All the people who claim whiplash from nothing crashes all the people who claim sexual or racial discrimination and worst of all , all the people who get offended by the above even though they are not the ones who should actually be offended.

We are sick and tired of average Joe not having a voice and when they do actually say something (like now) get all the do gooders defend the minority ... ot is it just us??

It's more like tabloids taking advantage of stuff like that to sell papers.

Take for example the Birmingham council that; the Daily Mail said, 'abolished use of the word 'Christmas' and replaced it with the word 'winterval'; when in fact it did no such thing.

And 'political correctness' is not a static thing. In soviet russia, it wasn't 'politically correct' to believe in God or own property. In Nazi Germany it wasn't politically correct' to be gay, or jewish.

My point? Count yourself lucky you live in a free, liberal democracy where you can at least complain about these things.

Another thread that uses the term political correctness as an insult. This one with the twist that it fails to understand the difference between fraud and the use of polite common sense in language and deeds.

Maybe the OP might prefer living in Saudi Arabia. Or North Korea or China. No need to worry about pesky human rights there!

Surely it's to be expected in age of consumerism and capitalism that has gone over the top?

Much more logical to milk that system for all it has if you are in a position where you can, particularly if you are from the lower social strata and are not in a position of power.

Yes, but at least they can do that.

Would you rather live in a place where people have no human rights and the only thing that matters is the state?

Political correctness as a term is used in a derogatory way. If you are happy with everyone speaking to you as an inferior then fine. It's what used to happen and it's coming back.

Now if someone like me, black and female (and I can claim the disability "card" too) says anything to challenge we are often told we are playing the race card or the sex card. All I am doing is asking for people to be treated with respect. I have had radical feminist thrown at me on here, amongst other things.

My favourite is do-gooder and I am really happy to claim it: I am not a do-badder.

Of course they would, because there will always be 'have nots' and 'haves', even in the post-industrial age we live in, just as there were in industrial societies, feudal societies, and even communist ones.

And what's so bad about milking the system anyway? What exactly has 'the system done for those on benefits and borderline work, the underclass, exactly?

Also, the system-the state exists for the benefit of the human beings who live in it; not the other way around.

Or as JFK put it 'ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you'.

Having being smashed into on the motorway by a driver not paying attention it's certainly not fun I had 2 vertebrae locked in my spine and it just gets grouped into a whiplash claim.

Hopefully you'll never experience the receiving end of a car plowing into you

P.s I'm fully in support of the obvious false claims needing sorting

No; like I said earlier 'politically correct' is whatever a given state says it is politically ok for a given person to state publicly. In the UK, it isn't politically correct, for example, to be fascist or racist. In China, it isn't ok to speak publicly in favour of democracy. In Saudi Arabia, it isn't politically correct to be an atheist. and so on.

That's not exactly what happened in Rotherham though. It was a whole scale denial to care for children from poor socio-economic groups. The young women and girls were expected to be getting knocked up by someone. They were treated as liars when they did try and seek help. Read the reports. Only one part of what happened was about appalling judgement on racial grounds. The Asian young women and girls affected by these gangs are still facing the denial that it happened to them because of a racist belief that the Asian men don't do this to their own.

I'm sick to the back teeth of political correctness in this country, its got so bad now that police and other services it appears were afraid to act in the rotherham peadophile gang case for fear of being called racists because the perpertrators were asian.

-Britain had no human rights legislation before it was unilaterally adopted by the E.U.

Which makes it the exception to the rule. Even states like China and North Korea have human rights embedded as a part of their constitutions.

British law is in my opinion fair. If we left the EU we could carry on doing a good job with human rights, just without the nonsense from the european court of human rights which i highlighted in my other post. "

-which is exactly why Britain needs a written constitution.

"Another thread that uses the term political correctness as an insult. This one with the twist that it fails to understand the difference between fraud and the use of polite common sense in language and deeds.

How is it an insult unless it is to the people who use the human rights by a way of gains? ?

Political correctness as a term is used in a derogatory way. If you are happy with everyone speaking to you as an inferior then fine. It's what used to happen and it's coming back.

Now if someone like me, black and female (and I can claim the disability "card" too) says anything to challenge we are often told we are playing the race card or the sex card. All I am doing is asking for people to be treated with respect. I have had radical feminist thrown at me on here, amongst other things.

My favourite is do-gooder and I am really happy to claim it: I am not a do-badder.

As far as we are concerned we treat everyone exactly the same and talk to everyone the same... Politically correct by definition is a term used for those who use it because they are a minority and they want to be treated the same (and rightly so) however as with all systems it gets used beyond what it should. In today's society the minority get more recognition or more recognised or more pussy footed around than to the majority.. This isn't a racist dig.. This is fact. You can have jobs that specify ethnic minorities preferred yet you cannot advertise for English only. That's not a racial propaganda that is 100% fact"

and it's also 100% illegal.

Do you mean jobs with a language requirement? I have not seen any with legally applicable race grounds. You even use the word preferred, not requirement.

In the old days (1982-85) I was turned away from jobs because I am not "an English rose". Those were the words used to me - to my face and without any qualms of saying it. The common practice now is to not say it an just appoint white British if that is the preference. That is 100% fact. Employers will take those they want. If that happens to be the person with the best skill and they happen to be black/Asian or any other bloody minority then that is what they will do. The fact that SOME will see that as them being done out of a job by the minorities misses the fact that they didn't have the right skills or attitudes.

I have a moan about the British young people (of all ethnicities) who think that some jobs are beneath them. They have been given a sense of entitlement and an understanding that those jobs are only good enough for migrant workers as they are the worst jobs. As an employer I take the people on with a good work ethic and the skills to do the job.

If you have a valid point (& whether I think it is valid or not you still have the right to state your opinion - is that political correctness gone mad?) then use examples, use facts as opposed a generic passive aggressive moan. At least then we can challenge where appropriate or try to understand your view point. That's the joy of living in a democracy which acknowledges your Human Rights.

"In a democratic society everyone is entitled to their views. Everyone else is entitled to disagree.

Yep. That's exactly my point.

"I may disagree with your opinion, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."- Voltaire."

It wasn't Voltaire who said that. It was his biographer.

Oh, and re the OP. If I see racist, sexist, or any kind of bigoted behaviour then I will be offended, because I personally believe that its behaviour that is not becoming to the modern human race. I would have thought we'd have learned something for history, but unfortunately its not the case. In the meantime I'll stay disgusted at mediaeval behaviour.

I know who i've messaged before, as i pay for a silver or gold membership there is an icon on people's profiles that tells me if i messaged them before, and i also use the notes to keep a record.

If you think each of those areas represent the country of residence then would expect similar areas to succeed in predominantly Muslim countries? Or is Britain a country where by tolerance is confused with leniency? So many to scared to say what the majority is thinking.

You do know you get Christians and Jews in 'predominantly muslim countries', right? Even ones like Iran. and yes, they are tolerated and protected by law.

I don't mean you, but I find it ironic that a lot of people who complain about a minority of foreign muslims not respecting Britain's laws or culture are exactly the same people who don't respect the laws or culture of islamic countries, the same people who go to gulf states and get d*unk or have sex on the beaches.

I'm also muslim. My father is muslim (though my mother is nominally christian), and I was raised within islam.

Check your history. The Jews have been persecuted for a considerable amount of time. Cliffords Tower in York is a burnt out shell because of persecution against the Jews. It was set on fire in the 1400s.

But that's because Judaism isn't a prosleytising religion (it is also one of those religions, like Islam and Catholicism, that it is impossible to leave.)

Buddhists do by and large seek out converts btw. Maybe not on the scale of Christianity or Islam, but they do.

Actually, speaking of islam and christianity, historically speaking, if a muslim state conquered a christian state, the christian inhabitants wouldn't be forced to convert to islam. They would be more heavily taxed than muslims, and there would be financial and career incentives to converting to islam, but mandatory convertion was not on the cards. Which is why states like Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece are all heavily christian despite the fact they were ruled by Turkey for 400 years.

As opposed to the crusades where the christians just forced everyone to convert to christianity.

Make of that what you will.

OK I will spell it out for you as you seem to fail to understand: my colour does not equate to my religion. IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE BROWN WITHOUT BEING MUSLIM.

You seem convinced I must be Muslim and since nothing I have ever said says that I am I can only assume that you make that assumption because of my colour. However much you protest that you welcome all colours and creeds etc. it is clear from this one, repeated, assertion alone that you make judgements about people not on what they say and do but on what colour they are.

On that basis, however articulate and reasoned I may try to be you will only ever read and believe your own prejudiced (used in the correct sense of prejudged) view.

Just for you, my Catholic father and CofE mother and my old vicar would all be surprised that I have converted to Islam because it's expected of me for being BROWN!

I see you neither as racist nor political. If you had provided any facts or examples to back up your vague comments then maybe it would have been good to explore your ideas. But you don't seem particularly sure of what you believe or think.

You are also not at all controversial. That statement is of a similar vein to those people who go "I'm mad me" they never are. It's all a facade to hide what lies beneath.

Precisely. My father is white, as is my mother. My granddad on my dad's side is a white English convert to Islam.

The colour of one's skin has nothing to do with religion. You get white muslims, just like you get black christians.

Central

We live in a culture where most of what we 'know' is based on a stream of IBM formation from dubious sources.

There is no such thing as political correctness. There are things that some notionally tie into thus claptrap noun, though it's a fabrication. Respect for others, due and proper equality and an expectation of liberty and freedom from harassment from those who differ from you are simple things to duly expect in a civilized society.

Check for real evidence and don't jump on media influenced bandwagons when you encounter modern truisms. And don't too easily give up hard fought for rights and freedoms.

I stopped being a Christian."

Under catholic canon law a catholic can't 'stop' being catholic. They can stop attending mass, say they don't believe in God, curse the pope, but in the eyes of the church, they're still a catholic.

The same isn't true for Church of England, (which is what I guess you mean when you say 'christian') lutheranism, methodism, eastern orthodoxy, etc. etc. You certainly can 'stop' being any of them.

Also, I wasn't talking about Christianity in general. Just catholicism and how, like islam or judaism, one cannot technically 'leave' those faiths.

Yes! I am sick of it too!

I'm not ashamed of throwing political correctness to the wind when I say 'Average Joe' should have a voice, even if he does have a stoma in his neck.

May be if the cure for whiplash injuries was genital mutilation a few of the fuckers would think twice before claiming! Of course the fuckers would claim sexual harassment if you went around attacking their private bits with tin snips... see it's all one sided in THEIR favour!

It's not fair to live in a society where the average Joe is a second class citizen. We should be equal! And those other fuckers should be second class, even if it does take 3 days to get delivered.

I want to live in a country where the average Joe has just as much right to talk like a cunt as the next guy and then fuck him afterwards without fear of a sexual whiplash claim!

I want to walk the streets knowing the chavvie white kids will be harassed by the police under stop and search laws just as much as the black dudes.

I want to know that if creepy Neil at work wants to cop a feel of some birds tits he can do so without fear of anti-discrimination mumbo jumbo being spouted out by the fat Samoan bird when he gives her knee-slapping jugs a miss.

And if the do-gooders don't like it they can shut the fuck up until they have tried typing bollox like this. I deserve respect, it's not easy you know!

Why are you asking me? I have answered the question in telling you my understanding of the basic teachings and rules of Abrahamic faiths. Can a Christian be a swinger? It's immaterial as people break the rules of their faiths to suit their circumstances. I have met Muslim swingers and I have met Christian swingers. Are they allowed? It doesn't matter, they do it anyway!

We had hassocks, which made it easier on the knees.

Can a Muslim be a swinger? Especially a Muslim woman? This is a genuine question not a confrontation x"

bit like asking can a catholic be a gambler..

or can a person of the jewish faith eat halibut..

can a genuine christian be a swinger?

To be honest, most modern religious people will understand their faith may have scripture written in stone, but when it comes to real modern life it wont suit, and it certainly wont suit their sex lives.

Got to love the irony of a Muslim woman on a swinging site... by definition are you "allowed" to swing?

This isn't a dig this is purely a question as we are unaware of your religions rules (if there are rules )

What the absolute fuck?

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread.

All of you who have met me better be careful you don't catch BROWN and AUTOMATICALLY become MUSLIM as a result. (Caps used as there is no other way of highlighting on here.)"

Sorry hun. I went to Morocco in Feb and I might have brought Muslim back with me. Its catching you know. More terrifying to white people than ebola!

Speaking of BROWN, how come Kick It Out never moan about a dearth of BROWN players and managers, or Koreans?

Why would it be different for a Muslim women as opposed to any of the other major world religions who preach monogamy?"

I tried making that point, but I must speak in Muslim or something.

W

T

F??

I know! Is it ironic to use the word irony incorrectly?

Muslim when it suits??

You can't 'stop' being a muslim. Just like someone can't 'stop' being jewish.

If this makes sense at all...belief wise, I'm really a deist. But I'm still a muslim.

Or to quote Dara o'Briain "I'm not a particularly religious man. I don't even believe in God. But still...Catholic."

I stopped being a Christian.

Just catholicism and how, like islam or judaism, one cannot technically 'leave' those faiths."

I believe in free will and a child raised into a faith whatever that may be has had a decision made on their behalf one which they cannot realistically have been a part of.

Therefore when you reach an age where you can and want to make a sound judgement on said faith you can stop. Just because a religion states that you cannot "stop" being one of them doesn't mean you do.

It is just another part of the doctrine.

I may have raised a Catholic but I have certainly stopped being one. Whatever the organisations view point on it.

It's not fight club.

Are you the reason I'm brown and therefore Muslim then? Jeez, I thought I'd got darker this year and I saw you in February too.

It doesn't matter, they do it anyway!"

Sorry badly put. What we mean is ... is it in the Muslim faith to be a swinger? And religious views are irrelevant to us as we are atheists but what we mean us can you be a Muslim and be a swinger? Or are you picking x d choosing ad go when you believe in your faith? Likewise a christian or Jewish or any religion !

Well; judging by my verifications and my pics; it's certainly possible for a muslim man to be a swinger!
