No, for me the forums are like having a quick chat with mates, or a bit of cheeky banter with associates, its a day long activity, its a social without having to shave your legs

Some of the people who may or may not come into this thread may not be.

And if people are 'far away' but interest builds, do whst some have done, do and will do... And travel

For me, I came into the forums to get a fuller site experience and to fart around. And I've since been introduced to some nice and bonkers people.

I've even got a couple of meets as a consequence.

If someone comes onto any part of the site with one thing in mind, chances are, they'll miss out on what they are after.

I really need to use less words

Got to know some great people through the forums, we definitely need to meet some of them too

We get interest from our profile but we've found we get a much better feel for people here

I've not been on the site long and I'm kinda finding it hard to connect with people through messaging-it all seems a bit forced. I'm really enjoying the forums though and hoping to attend socials with people I've chatted with through those.

Not for me they aren't.

I've had lots of laughs, made friends & learnt loads in the last year.

Also the majority of my meets have been from the forums, this is the only place where I tend to message men first, usually based on how they are on here.

It's a great way to get to get to know people on here and enjoy a few laughs along the way.

When I first joined I used to frequent the chat rooms but not any more as I have enjoyed my time far more in the forums than anywhere else.

I've had a couple of meets through the forum but I come on here since I enjoy the banter, occasional flirting and generally fun side of the fora. It's not killing time between meets, it's as well as. Reading and replying to personal messages sometimes (depending on the sender obviously) feels like an administrative chore. The fora are like a chat in a pub after work with a slightly kinky group of mates and acquaintances.

To me I'd rather meet men away from the forums and that's no disrespect to those that are on here as there are a few Id love to get down and dirty with...I do think sometimes that if I was to meet certain people Id be stepping on some people's toes and I try and keep my real life and fab life as drama free as possible.

Here for the banter and the odd offshoot pm conversation, I get strangely and overly excited when every now and then the new message icon lights up.

Most of the time they come due to a comment or thread on the Forum, sometimes nice, sometimes helpful, sometimes abusive ha ha.

I go searching for meets elsewhere on the site generally, but have tried a couple of cheeky approaches to a couple of exceptional people on here for meets but no joy - ha.

I have had a couple of meets from Fab (one verified, one not) and was on the Forums before and since, so no I'm not here just until I get a meet

Well to add my two penneth worth, I have been active on here for about 6 months even though I have had a profile for over 12, Trying to meet ladies through direct contact has so far been a complete waste of time, however, the last few weeks I have used these forums and at least I have had a few friend requests which is a start. Updating your Status has also had a couple of comments sent through, but no where near as many as forums, so stick with this.

Mind you, still not had a meet - pmsl!

Fairly new to all this but I wouldn't consider it mutually exclusive. I like talking nonsense (I mean all intellectual and that!) on the forums, I find the forums revealing, funny, thought provoking and frustrating, would still be around mooching in the corner whether meeting or not

I use the forums for discussion, I like reading other peoples thoughts. I log on when I'm relaxing, instead of picking up a reading book.

I don't use the forum to gain popularity for meets or to set up meets. I just like reading and contributing to discussion. I don't browse profiles or pictures very often either

Not really. A lot of people I meet don't use the forums so am arranging meets etc with them at the same time as keeping in touch with people and trying to make new friends, so it's not a filler, just another aspect.

"It's funny though because you know who is meeting who and who has met who...I've been on the forums for a few years and I've seen people get together but I've seen some fallouts of the century. To me I'd rather meet men away from the forums and that's no disrespect to those that are on here as there are a few Id love to get down and dirty with...I do think sometimes that if I was to meet certain people Id be stepping on some people's toes and I try and keep my real life and fab life as drama free as possible.

I agree with this,id have a good laugh and a drink with loads of lovely and very hot people on the forums but it has been shown at times to be incestuous and very territorial,drama is a pain in the arse and pissing up lamp posts leaves a mess

I guess some peoples idea of nsa is very different from others, hence the fallout & drama.

This is true. I've seen bits and pieces of this.

Recently?

I've never noticed anything like this, but perhaps I haven't been around long enough. But then I do have this mental image of the forum clan as all being in the midlands and down south with the odd northerner like me waving from the sidelines. "

Since starting to come into the forums (and certainly not using them till a meet comes along) we have chatted and become friends with some really lovely people and they really brighten up your day *well most days * having abit of harmless flirting and cheeky banter x

Originally we were on here as a couple looking for meets, then L started working away a lot and we had to stretch to make time for each other so no room for meets as well, consequently we closed down the profile, but I missed the forums and came back just for them alone, (don't meet solo)

A lot don't meet they are just here to use the forums. You have to remember there are a lot of people who have few friends out there and using the forums is a way of relieving the loneliness.

I see the forums, as a huge local pub... Where you can giggle, be daft, natter, and bicker with like minded, people.. It's fun! It's light relief, from the sometimes stressful, daily grind.

You get a feel

For someone's personality from their posts, sometimes you just click, and find yourself on the same wavelength. Sometimes you dont!

We've been fortunate enough to have met, a fair few from the forums, at mainly socials, and will be meeting more at the end of the month

I do suspect there maybe a little queue... Made up of those waiting to slap me

Another Northerner waves...Although the majority of my play meets are with non forumites, I've met some awesome people socially via the forums (the big Socials that have been arranged) plus occasional play meets with folk who would never even have shown up on my radar other than via forum flanter and I even pal around with Wyrdwoman on our epic tour of the UK's swinging clubs (coming soon to a club near YOU - be afraid...be very afraid)

I use the forums way more than any other part of the site. I find other peoples opinions fascinating and entertaining. Although we are 'like-minded' in some ways, in others we differ massively.
