my daughters dog somehow managed to get out the back garden day before yesterday as theres a 6ft fence round the garden pretty impressive stuff but hey. after searching the area with no luck her mum went to the local police nothing and then rang the dogs home and yes some kind hearted dog lover had took her there fantastic so off they pop to go get her fully expecting their would be a charge and rightly so. £122.16 ok bit expensive for less than 24 hours boarding but hey she's part of the family so she doily cough up the readys only to be told all the dogs home get out of that is £10 the local authorities get the rest. Is it just me or is that wrong in so many ways it's a charity run home but still the local authority have to take their cut..

Wouldn't that cut be mainly for the local authority catching the animal I don't see why they get it if somone else did the work

"It depends on what they use the money for."

Gets chucked in the same big pot so it could be anything from rubbish collection to the biscuits at the council meetings

It could pay for dog wardens but you know what local authorities are like

Cardiff

£50-£60 should cover it, they shouldnt run it like a business and see profit in it (The Council)

what ever its used for its not where it belongs witb the dogs home and who it was gladly paid to for there fantastic work.

a few weeks ago some scumbag kid tride to burn the place down did the authorities help them not 1 jot it was the public come to the rescue not them
