Prague is amazing and so much id it regonisable as it is in so many movies. We went in late november and it was hugely atmospheric. Mists over the charles tower bridge, gluwein sitting under outdoor heaters. Other place is rome, It will blow your mind, but you need a guide to fully appreciate it. There are lots of free guided tours around the colliseum and the forum. They are worth doing especially for the forum as otherwise you are just looking at ruins. The tours bring the ruins to life. They will however try and flog you other tours of the city so beware...
