I had been on a well known and what I thought was a respectable dating site M.... , for about 6 months. After a number of dates but not finding the one, I cancelled my subscription, within days of its expiry I receive a wink from a very attractive local lady, I message her back and then we exchange a number of messages, I thrown in a mention of a local landmark, but no comment from her on that one. Getting on well I suggest we exchange emails as I am leaving, she offers me her email, there after no further contact.

I was wondering if others have had similar experiences on better known sites?

This is common you give up paying and then mail ... its a con and there way of getting you back. Had this on a swing site we was on years ago too .. x

I expect it of the trashy sites, but not from what I considered to be one of the respectable ones.

We was on a site seen as best and payed 100s a year as a site all over the world and it was the same there .. never get local people mailing but when we picked to come off we did . Mailed and nothing back .. I think it go on a lot with pay sites . x

I would think most are the same, it is down to individuals on how the behave on a site.

I have never been on one personally, proberly just down to how serious people are on meeting and dating.
