"It was wrong then, and it is wrong now" is also what they say.

Which is right, of course, but is it another example of political correctness gone mad?

Yes it is political correctness gone mad.

Tom and Jerry is a cartoon, loved by many people, was one of my favourite cartoons to watch when i was a kid (still enjoy it now to be honest), haha. When i was a kid watching this the thought that is maybe racist or racially predjudice never entered my head, i was probably too busy laughing at Tom getting hit over the head with a frying pan and his head coming up in the shape of said frying pan.

Really i wonder what the fuck the world is coming to now with this politically correct crap. Can't people of all colours, faiths, nationalities just enjoy a cartoon about a mouse and a cat without this nonsense.

Why does it bother you? It isn't hurting anyone.

From the same country that, in 2014, dithers over what to do when it's NFL heroes punch a girlfriends lights out in a lft or beat their young child with a tree branch.

I prefer the cartoon, thanks.

I have every single Tom and Jerry Cartoon including the films, although not keen on the talkies, as that's just fucking weird.

Never thought about the racism issue in all honesty.

But I suppose the powers that be deem in necessary by today's standards. Is someone going to sue Hanna and Barbera for historical prejudice?

Won't be long before they have "Starbuck's" coffee" or Costa or whatever coffee.
