I think for me it has to be some years ago. I developed severe social anxiety which quickly led to agoraphobia, tried my hardest to stay positive and eventually began leaving the house for walks. One day I plucked up the courage to walk into the town centre, thought I would walk straight through and go home, got to the busiest part, minding my own business when this voice screamed at me "you stay away from my fucking sister" I thought, that can't be directed at me, no one knows me here, "you fucking hear me?" I looked up and there's this rather menacing looking woman waving an umbrella in my face screaming blue murder at me, 1000 people stop to watch. I politely tried to explain she must have the wrong person, this was clarified when she told me I was Mark Smith or whatever. Christ, just wanted the ground to swallow me up haha, can laugh about it now, but at the time, all those people and having to defend myself from the umbrella, horrible.

I was beaten up and mugged at Queens Park station about 10 years ago. Not one person standing by did anything to help.

Mine was a few years ago when i started my period while picking my daughter up from school, it was summer time and I had a shortish denim skirt on, no tights, legging etc I felt that kind of cramp feeling and all off a sudden the flood gates opened, no warning at all, I felt the fluid leaving my body and when I looked down there was a flow of blood running down my bare legs, I could have died

I have had that whilst wearing a real fur hat. They were not happy when I called the police and they got done for assault.

After swapping some photos on here, I politely declined a woman for a meet (I just wasn't attracted to her).

A few weeks later I was our with friends in a busy bar and as luck would have it, so was she. She recognised me from the face pics I'd shared with her, marched right up to me and went off on one. Everyone in the bar stopped and took notice. As my mates were finding the whole thing hilarious, I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

She then turned into a crazy stalker after that but that's a story for another time/thread

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I got on a bus once and as I sat I realised there was a really loud noise, like a siren or alarm but no one seemed concerned. I sat for ages looking around to see what it could be. Some people looked at me while I was looking, most were looking out of the windows. After 19 stops I got off thinking 'thank goodness I am away from that awful noise'. Stood at the bus stop for a second to get rid of the ringing in my ears and watched the bus drive off. I could still here the noise!!! I did a circle thinking what is that noise?!? Then looked down at my bag to see the cord from my panic alarm hanging from the Velcro fastener on my bag the noise was from me!!!! As I sat down I activated it and sat looking at everyone like 'can you believe all this noise?' FOR 15 MINUTES!!!!!!! Never loved it down and even now in work they say remember the time you set off your panic alarm on the bus and just left it going? I had to get the same bus the very next day - but this is just one of my many bus stories some involve singing, falling over and on one occasion trumping....I am the girl on the bus no one wants to sit by

Start a feed with embarrassing yourself on a bus, I have a few. There is a reason why I had to learn to drive apart from my mum getting sick and needing driving around. I was getting close to being banned from the busses in my area

Years ago I worked for an adult shop and had just finished my shift in one shop when my manager asked if I could take a bag of transfers to the other shop I would be working in the next day. I was catching the train home but it was all wrapped up in a black bag so no one could see it so I said yes. I had just got off the train at Liverpool Central and was on the escalator when I somehow tripped over getting off it. This was embarrassing enough but the bag of transfers split sending porn DVDs flying everywhere. As I scrambled to try and pick them all up this guy came to help, he picked up one DVD (I still remember was called 'felch my sperm hole'!) looked at it then slowly handed it back to me. I could have died!

No, I was wearing my natural brown skin. It was my first experience of violent racism.

When I was 16 had been to a house party. I Was a little tipsy and couldn't walk. So my bf at the time carried me home. Only to be stopped by a woman who lifted my top and put my boob back away as it had popped out.

Scotland - Aberdeen

Well I was 16 I used to work in the YMCA café on a Saturday, once I was on a break and in walked my mum and caught me smoking red handed.

Stormed up to me, slapped me round the back of the head.....

In front of 200 squaddies, afterwards all I could hear was, did you see that woman slap her? Whilst everyone else just looked at me.

Another co worker just piper up and said, it's ok, it's was her mother, oh those were the days
