That's seems more antagonism than honesty to me... I may banter those situations or make suggestions... I would try and put it more positively than just state a fault with someone...

As in... "Shall we cook together tonight?"

You can be totally honest without being rude and belittling people. I think that some people that claim to be totally honest are mistaking rudeness for honesty.

Any act that threatens trust is unacceptable dishonesty. We all know the boundaries with regard honesty within our relationships.

'Your bum looks great in that' isn't the kind of line that would normally threaten trust, although I concede it could for some.

We are honest with each other but as we also love each other we wouldn't be saying hurtful things.

I agree with other posts suggesting kindly ways of saying about cooking or big bums etc

I think in a successful relationship or in any interaction you need to have a basic level of respect and in everyday life kindness costs nothing and is always appreciated

Yes, total honesty in relationships is important to me, but that never means tactless!!

A commitment to honesty will also make you face up to all kinds of difficult situations that could just be avoided by lies. It takes way more courage to be honest.

We are as honest as we can be as without being able to be totally honest just means you can't trust your partner with the truth.

So in short without honesty there is a trust issue.

Mo can be brutally honest at times and expects the same back from me without any sugar coating.

Yes we are completly honest in our relationship. Andy didnt likes dressing in my little dresses to go out for a night. Told me now I am in a relationship with children I have to make sure my appearance resembles that and not of a hooker PMSL x

exactly.. I am an honest person and all my friends know this and like me because of it.. If her ass does look big in that i will tell her; but nicely... I have a habit of saying things as they are and sometimes i may offend but i am as diplomatic as i can be... I wouldn't expect any less in a relationship.. If my food tastes like crap tell me or i will be serving you the same shit over and over again!!

I agree, the workd is like a mirror, when what you say helps then its reflected back to you. Honesty is of course core, but it can be used to help rather than as an ego trip. Stop thinking about your inner self and think about their inner self and communicate with honesty.
