With something as subjective as music, I think it's pretty pointless trying to say who's 'best'.

I can barely narrow it down to best 5 bands let alone 1

It's definitely The Clash or The Ramones, maybe Stiff Little Fingers, it could be Dead Kennedy's or occasionally The Jam or even Stone Roses but then again I still love Ned's & NIN. Oh and then there's zeppelin & Sabbath. I give up :/

They were pretty much Revolver on an endless loop, no development what so ever.

Oh come on that's just stupid.

It is much easier to spew stupid shit than it is to explain why, exactly, that shit is stupid.

Their Album "Definitely Maybe" was AND is class.

The Beatles get slated because it's the cool thing to do to slate the beatles, I mean, they are not any shitter than anything mentioned in this thread seriously.

80's Simple Minds

90's Nirvana

00's White Stripes. Jack White has an immense talent. One of the greatest artists of our time ( not much into his music, but wow! the boy knows his stuff) Anyone who has seen Play it Loud would surely agree.

10's Royal Blood. Despite being fairly new are a top contender I feel.

Could not agree more with you with regards to Jack White. He is just fantastic! I am sure he sold his soul to the devil, the way he plays guitar is just so fucking dirty and sexy. Mmmmmmmmm

Also, Royal Blood, my new fave band!!!

Never got The Clash, although I do like a couple of theirs but absolutely spot on with Joy Division and The Smiths!

All my mates at school who were into Wham, Duran etc thought I was weird as my fave band was The Smiths

Prestwich

Led Zeppelin....

whereas alot of the bands aforementioned were `good` I think `great` is massively over stated..

With Zep you got rock,blues,folk,jazz,blues....

and as a producer Jimmy page is still sought after by the much younger talent of today, which is a pretty good plaudit

happy Fabbing

So one half decent album in 20 years makes them the greatest band ever? Get real. The only stayed in the news because Liam is a twunt! Musically, Blur were a million times better.
