Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

We got my mum an iphone at the weekend and it is funny trying to teach her how to use it. She can't get her head around the not having to bang the screen with her finger repeatedly to find the letter she wants for texting

My father on the other hand only turns his on when he needs to ring someone. Makes his call then turns the thing off again.

Kent

My mum is a nightmare, she either texts without her glasses on so it's totally indecipherable, or she sends ones that are sooooo long it would be quicker for her to actually just ring me!! And they have about 20 questions in each one.

My reply usually looks like 'fine, no, no, he's ok, later, yes, not sure yet, £20, Tuesday, after lunch, no, raining I think...'

You get the picture

Haha , my dad is the same , he came to meet me in Manchester once , phoned me to say he was on his way , I called later to see where he was , and phone was off

So she never switches it on. When she's on holiday she switches it on makes the call and switches it off again.

Her landline is broken and can't get it fixed till tomorrow, so she emails to tell me this and that her mobile is switched on

Three times ive tried to ring her so far and no its not switched on
