Once opened in the fridge. Made some damson at the weekend. Home made is definitely the best - same with marmalade !

Titz Towers, North Notts

In the fridge, apart from some homemade jam that I was given. That is now stored in the bottom of the Wheelie Bin. It was given to me in good faith; well I say given, it was pressed on me with tons of enthusiasm. In fact, I felt that I was being made an offer I couldn't refuse. I had to take the jam. It doesn't even look the right colour. I couldn't even say what fruit it is meant to be, it could even be broad bean jam. Still, this is what happens when your aged relatives take up growing fruit and veg.

That would be on a par with sprout jam! A new condiment to go with Christmas dinner.

Mine's English Rose made by David Watts in a Town called Malice. As for storage, for Absolute Beginners it's Going Underground as a Start!

Fridge. Love making jam, this is the first year we haven't gone blackberry picking which is great fun to do and get the family involved.

I was given a jar of Apple Jelly which "the children" had made once. Looking at the children then the green, slimy contents of the jar.....apples were not my first thought! .....
