Pressure!

I was made redundant a couple of weeks ago from a good finance job within a Local Authority.

After no luck finding something else so far today I have 2 interviews. I get very nervous so today will be a tough day. Especially as the first interview is back with the LA and is not a job I know much about. I didn't even think I'd applied for it! It will then involve a mad taxi ride to the second. I obviously need the a job which is adding to the pressure. Any tips for remaining calm and thinking clearly under pressure?

Don't drink caffeine. Eat a proper breakfast. Breathe deeply even when rushing. Be prepared for your interviews-I'm sure you are anyway. Take a bottle of water with you. Don't overthink,keep your mind calm and focused. And good luck

Rescue remedy if you can get any. A few drops on your tongue ans it really does help.

Sips of water, and eat something.

First ones at 12.50. I'm going to have to force myself to eat something before then or my stomach will be making some strange noices by then!!

Probably a little late to give advice now but just tell yourself they would be lucky to have you. Oh and good luck nice to see someone making an effort unlike many.

Just be yourself and try to keep good eye contact with the interviewer.

Also ask question's about the job and what would be required of you and then relate that to the skill set you already have showing the possible new employer of the benefits of taking you over the next applicant.

Also research the company.

Have something to eat that gives you energy. Don't rush your replies, better to give a measured response. Think of every interview as more experience to help towards the next one. Afterwards write down what you were asked, so it refreshes you for possibly having similar questions at the next interview. Good luck ! Remember the interviewers are only human!
