new phone

Was a toss up between the Samsung S5 mini and the Xperia Z3 compact.

I've gone for the Z3 compact... and pretty happy at it (delivered weds)

Any other choices I have missed though? Wasn't looking for a huge phone, just one that works and will last.

Think I've made the right choice??

You definitely made the right choice. I've had iphone, Samsung, nokia, htc and sony and my Xperia is definitely the best of the lot

cool thanks, not had a sony in years. The specs look very good, and seems an equivalent price to everything else. I was wondering about the nexus 5, just for the price of it.

Was a bit of a rushed purchase as I dropped my phone at the weekend. I've been scrabbling around the web comparing.

I just personally prefer the user friendliness of the sony to anything I've looked at. Didn't even consider the nexus but I won't change now, my next phone will be a sony again

mmmm it's just arrived. Amazing what tech can do these days! I havent changed my phone in about 5 yrs. All my data, because of gmail is auto sync'd! lovely phone, seems quick too

Just need to tramp down to O2 to get a nano sim.
