serious question.... what to do with old bras

My 'work wife' is having a boob upgrade this week. She has loads of old bras that wont fit. Is there a charity that takes them? I seem to remember there was a few years back.

Yes goggle old bras and some charities come up that take them.

Ear muffs ... Jelly molds ( my dog runs around the garden using mine as a hat! )

Have seen the odd bra in charity shops not many .. Could she not pass on to friends?

Most charity shops welcome old clothing of any sort, so long as it is clean. (Nobody wants to sort through your dirty castoffs!)

If they can't sell it as clothing, they can still sell it on as waste fabric, so one way or another it helps with their revenue. (I was about to say "helps to support them" - then realised at the last moment what I was saying!)

You can get bra banks from breast cancer charity and put them in your place of work or somewhere not sure what they do with them after though

A certain bra company donate money to charity for every kg of old bras donated . Lots of cancer charities accept them too. To be fair , bras can be very expensive so if they're in good condition it seems a shame not to recycle them.

Butterflies from bras raise cash.

ARTWORK made from celebrity bras is going on tour to raise awareness of cancer.

Ribbons and bows from the bras, donated and signed by Lorraine Kelly, Kirstie Allsopp and others, will be made into butterflies.

The creations will be applied to a painting which will be displayed at Breast Cancer Care's Glasgow office and other locations.

From Glasgow's Evening Times today, Monday 29th Sept.
