Does anyone else ever get tired of these type of adverts popping up all over porn sites?

And what do they say about male society in general?

Yes, I agree.

Just try and change your corner of the world if you can, then maybe one day things will change.

Not likely you'll be meeting anyone clicking on those sites, apart from a debt collector.

I agree with Wyrd - there are a ton of sites that dress themselves up as contact sites but they are far from it and just cash collector sites.

It bothers me that if this is the pervading attitude toward women and sex in the modern male, then its little wonder that so many womens perception of us is so profoundly negative.

You see. They can place an ad like that which is their right. That's their method of marketing and it may work.

What the real issue (i think so anyway) is that once the men meet these women, do they _iew them as sluts and just another piece of meat? Or do they actually treat them with a bit of respect ane courtesy?

...think many can use their common sense realise that it's just a markiting strategu and a way to get individuals to click on their ad. The worrying thing would be if many click the ad thinking the statement to be true and if they _iew women like that.

I may be a bit old fashioned in my _iews but status updates and comments in the chatrooms by men calling others sluts, especially when it's not tongue in cheek or if they don't know that person has me cringing.

There's certain things that float my boat but these terminologies kind of put me off - especially in the wrong context.

Such a thing was never implied in my opening post?

I watch plenty of porn myself, yet never forget to treat a woman with a basic level of courtesy, and certainly don't see them as nothing more than objects for my own sexual gratification.

Yes, desiring respect on this site seems to be a bit of a red flag to some.

It is a horrid viscous circle at times, horrid messages, horrid forum posts about the senders of said messages and it just goes round and round...

If there was true mutual respect, it might lessen it.

Says it all doesn't it? Thing is, though, it sells. If it didnt then they wouldnt use it.

Think though. What kind of guy is attracted to that kind of site? I personally would love to meet and fuck tonight but to think of her as a slut would just take away any enjoyment.

Still, it keeps a lot of arseholes off here. Not all, but some...

It says very little about male society in general because to try and make a generalisation across all men when so few (as a percentage) respond to such ads can only give a false representation.

Lots of women think of certain men as just 'studs' and are attracted to the idea of being with them for that reason. Does that say much in a general way about female society?

It's more about the porn industry than male society. You have to be pretty naive to actually think that will happen.

It's just a marketing activity pure and simple.

Perhaps, but given that the people promoting these sites would do so in such a smutty fashion implies this is how they at least perceive the modern, porn _iewing male.

Ilford

Not directly related but...

This made me think about a new porn category that I found the other day whilst having a little play.

It's one of those 'Fake Audition' type sites. Usually the girl goes in expecting an 'acting' audition and of course ends up getting fucked by the male 'director'.

But this time the tables are turned and the roles reversed so the guy goes in with a female director.

I thought this quite fresh and maybe gives an indication that times are a'changin.

And yes I did enjoy the porn!

Doesn't the porn industry reflect societal _iews of women? One aspect being, that women who enjoy their sexuality are 'sluts' and less deserving of 'respect'. Interesting topic, OP.

To me porn is about seeing sexual fantasies acted out and little more - often in these scenes the women will be behaving and treated like 'sluts', but they are sluts by their own choice and likely only whilst the camera is rolling, it doesn't mean its acceptable to treat them in a poor fashion in their day to day lives.

The big difference is that we'd already chatted and flirted before, and I felt confident that you'd either be turned on by or given a bit of a laugh by those comments, rather than being offended as a complete stranger may have been.

Of course not. But society's _iews of women and their sexuality, and male sexuality, shapes and drives the porn industry. It hasn't developed in a vacuum. And there is a two-way relationship, the porn industry influences societal attitudes and cultural norms, the trend for complete removal of female pubic hair being just one example.
