The definitive SKA song has to be Too Much Too Young by da specials.

Or maybe One Step Beyond?

Quite like a few ska numbers, doze staypress trousers + dressing sharp woz so stylish- most people dress with no style whatsoever these days

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

I bought my baby a red radio

He played it all day a-go-go a-go-go

He liked to dance to it down in the streets

He said he loved me but he loved the beat

But when I switch on I rotate the dial

I could see it there driving him so wild

I bought my baby a red radio

He said he loved me but he had to go

(Chorus):

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio

On my radio on my radio on my radio

I bought my baby a red radio

He played it all day a-go-go a-go-go

He liked to dance to it down in the streets

He said he loved me but he loved the beat

(Chorus 2x)

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio

It's just the same old show on my radio...

I bought my baby a red radio

A red radio a-go-go a-go-go

A red radio I rotate the dial

A red radio driving him so wild

A red radio he had to go

i read a very disturbing interveiw that was given by judge dread in the music press in the 70's .... a nefarious character if ever there was one

getting back on topic tho The Specials were awesome and had something to say on our behalf ..... Madness were utter shite on the other hand

What was so disturbing about judge dredd?

At least madness wrote the majority of their songs

in the interveiw he spoke as a lead member of an organisation that advocated the lowering of the age of consent to 8 years old ..... and he generally came across as an altogether strange man.

as for madness they may have written their songs but they were too much of a cheeky cockney chappies comedy pop band in my humble opinion....

i did go to see the specials, the selector and the body snatchers at a gig in the top rank in cardiff back in the day ..... was marred by NF supporting scooter skins going about attacking rude boys in the venue and the bands had to stop mid set several times while the bouncers tried to sort things out .... terry hall had to stop neville staples from jumping in from the stage he was that pissed off ... despit the hassle the bands were fantastic

"Monkey man "

As I seem to be getting messages asking what I meant by this I thought I better explain.

It's a song I know sing by Amy Winehouse and I know she wasn't the original singer.
