just took 6 bags of clothes/ shoes to one of the weigh in places - got 50p a kilo - so £15 in my pocket - usually charity shop them but im skint and this money will help with next weekend - so happy bunny - also son helped out at charity shop as part of duke of edinburgh award and they throw most of it away so feel a little less inclined these days to take it to them

No charity shop I've had anything to do with throws most of it away. Unsaleable stuff is sold to what used to be called rag and bone men for recycling.

he helped out in scope - he said they bagged up stuff he thought was more than saleable - he was quite put out at the time - was a few years ago

son has moved abroad - most of it was his of - think the bag of his shoes helped

us too - i know some people must include rubbish and we only send stuff that is good as new - but i think maybe they either send it on or weigh it in themselves - who knows
