A sincere apology.

I started a mean and totally unwarranted thread here last night, It's been on my conscience all day today as I know I offended some people, I never would do anything like that normally and I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I hurt.

It was a genuine one-off, the reason is really irrelevant, I never should have reacted as I did.

During the course of my inane rantings, I insulted men who did not deserve such a thing done to them, I bent the truth and told one outright lie, for which I am truly ashamed of myself.

I know I don't deserve anything else but the rebukes the thread deserved, I accept that completely.

I just had to set the record straight, last night was not me at all, please just try to understand....I have some wonderful, kind and special folks as friends on here, I have let them down also.

I am genuinely sorry to all concerned.

Eva Nightingale.

You really don't want to know what my uncharacteristic mood caused me to write on here, Darling....!

I've just realised the fact we never really know what we're capeable of as people, we learn all the time. XXX

I too felt it necessary to make an apology last year, after making a total buffoon of myself at a Forum Social

Mine was down to alcohol and I have learned that consuming too much and attending socials or posting on the forums is not a good mix

It takes a strong person to accept they are wrong and appologise, so credit due

I am truly thankful for all you good people and what you have replied....

I just have to say alcohol or any other drug was involved.....It was a culmination of a few things and I really should have seen it coming and understood and done something much more positive instead of lashing out like I did.

Bless you all, and please take good care of yourselves, thank you so much.

And now I need some sleep, one thing I need to do is recognise I need to calm down my life, stop worrying about things I cannot change and get more rest when I need it, I push myself much too hard sometimes, I'm getting too old for that now....! (gulp.....realisation finally begins to set in.....)

I'm SO lucky to have good friends in my life who have helped me terrifically these past four years, my life is better now than ever before and I really am thankful for that,

There are poor folk out there a damn sight worse off than me, I am lucky and I do know that.

Bless you all again.

"Nightingale, the meltdown" is currently being pitched round Hollywood. Up to now, one or two high profile screenwriters have shown an interest.....(!) XXX

As I tend to reside in a perfect bubble made by my monstrous ego I couldn't even recall a thread where you needed to apologise.

Fair play ti you for apologising and I hope whatever upset you is now in the past

I have read the other thread and whilst admittedly it was a rant, it was an interesting thread.

Respect to you for apologizing, perhaps the other people on that thread could apologise for their rude and personal comments to you too.

Miss Nightingale one thing you are not is dull, which would be a far worse crime than your rant and I'm sure 'most men' gate will be forgotten soon

Thank you, Darling, but every one of those replies was justified and I'm so thankful to all the lovely and caring folks who have contacted me recently, I never expected that, truly I didn't but, I had to put right those silly words I posted which hurt a lot of people unneccessarily.

LONDON (se)

I don't think you needed to apologise as people said far worse to you. I kind of agree but change the most to a lot. Only the same can be said of women and couples.

I felt sad for you reading the thread as it unfolded. I didn't even read it all. I didn't see it as a hissy fit more a statement of hslf truths by someone clearly hurt. The need to mention wealth and material possessions was, in my opinio, said to try make you feel better about yourself.

Good on you for saying sorry as that is a brave thing to do but I think some need to be sorry more than you do as you didn't personally insult or attack anyone as far as I read.

I personally have not read the thread but as lots of other before me have said fair play to you for apologising that takes a certain type of person especially when it would be so easy not to say anything.

In the real world I often have a rant! I've also met a lot of people who never ever apologise either in words or deeds so fair play to you. It felt like you'd been hurt by someone when you posted your original thread.

I read the thread and honestly didn't take it seriously, I thought you may have been just having tongue in cheek fun which was taken seriously, sorry but I wasn't on in the evening and see how the thread ended up, but hey ho, we all say things we regret, and certainly regret later, so I wouldn't worry if I were you as you have had messages which were appreciated by you and lots here saying "bravo".
