Diet..

Cut all refined carbs from your diet... Bread, pasta, rice, cake, beer, and sugar.

Sugar and carbs bloat.

90% diet 10% if you want a long term flat belly.

It's I'm possible to just target the belly with any exercises .

The above advice about core , squats snd deads is spot on good luck

Planking has good results for toning but the correct diet is essential, Mo has dropped a clothes size and half a stone using this method

you overtrain the abs and the muscle shrinks. You won't notice the six pack until the party seven is dissolved by a reduced calorie intake which why I mentioned a calorie controlled diet. The best exercise to lose weight is running or if you have back problems, swimming.

You won't get any shape unless you work the muscles.

Yes I have a tip. Each day, 3 times a day, pull your stomach (actually naval) in 30 times. At first it will seem like nothing is happening, in fact for a week or so, but persist and you will begin to see the first signs of the stomach muscles lurking beneath that you have maybe lost sight of for a while!

Planks actually have almost no visual effect on the rectus abdominal "six pack " muscles nor are they or crunches or reverse crunches effective fat burners x

Planks are indeed excellent exercises for core strength which mainly comes from the hidden deep transverse abdominal muscles

Two effective fat burners over and above the essential eating rules.

1 heart rate between 100 to 130 depending on age weight fitness and personal genetic make up for a time period over 40 mins

2 whole body compound weight moves , or equivalent hiit

However soundbite advice can be harmful , you should not undertake any of the above until you either fully understand it and your own body yourself or you have the guidance of somebody who does x

Oh and quicky is totally the wrong approach , unless you know a lot about the how's and whys and know how your body reacts (and you would not be posting here if you did) you should not attempt any quick fix x

Pilates worked for me. I definitely found the top two of the abdominals after doing that

The rest are still covered in lard unfortunately.

You're not wrong but Crunches are good for defining your stomach. If you want to loose fat around your belly then you need a good core exercise that will help you shed fat, like squats, deadlifts and rows

Worcester

Sit ups, crunches, leg raises and jogging. Eat protein, drop the carbs (not all but most) cut sugary drinks (pop, fruit juice) for fruit and water or black coffee.

That's a basic outline. Body building websites with forums have lots of great advice for toning up. It's not always about getting the biggest on there

Good luck

Cannock

Start a circuit training class, then you'll get a good all over body work out burning fat, building stamina and muscle strength and at the same time getting a cardio workout aswel.

Short bursts of exercises on the abdominal muscles, 1000 crunches a night may get you strong abdominal muscles, but with a full layer of fat on top, you will not get the results you really want.

Sugar is your ENEMY. Fighting belly fat is 80% healthy diet. Reduce calories by filling yourself up with protein, vegetables, whole grains, and replacing bad habit snacks with good ones.

Hope this helps
