I saw something about a 'neighbour shitting down my chimney' a few years back with pictures.

Probably find it with google, its worth a look.

I used to own the Sunday Sport annual, things like 'Alien bit my bum whilst on the toilet' and 'London Bus found on Mars'

I've never understood the logic of downplaying an offence simply because other crimes are worse. It's not a sliding scale.

since jimmy savile this has got stupid, I don't believe all these famous people are guilty either. if its an ordinary woman the police wouldnt bother their arses.

How many times have you had your arse squeezed, tits groped by a d*unk in a night club? I know for one, quite a few occasions. The police would of laughed at me had I of gone to the station and filed a complaint.

What has 'got stupid'?

on the police I would say they have a long way to go in their sadly lamentable historic record on dealing with sexual offences so partly in agreement..

on the substantive issue, its an offence under the law and whilst one person may well be able to 'deal with' the issue at the time or forget it and move on others wont..

I agree. The difference in severity between sexual touching and more heinous crime is recognised in sentencing guidelines.

Do we know when all this took place? From earlier hearings I think it was all 60's & 70's. Times & attitudes were different then

I knew DLT a bit & can easily see him "honking" a woman's breasts back then. No way acceptable now, sure, but then?

Times have changed, what was acceptable or common practice has now become unacceptable, if the lady was so outraged why has it taken 2 decades to make a complaint? she even bragged to a fellow colleague after the incident and still did nothing, compensation culture creeping in here ??

I sat on Geoff capes knee back in the 80's as part of a school event, can I accuse him of something to make a few quid?? Sure as hell I don't need to prove anything, where does the line stop.........

Surely there should be a statute of limitations ....... It's getting ridiculous

Have any people who are not perceived as being celebrities been charged and or convicted of sexual improprieties with other commoners for something alleged to have happened 20yrs ago?

Compo culture has a lot to answer for.

Not really a presenter - it doesn't take long to work out who it is with age, dates, previous jobs etc. A minor celeb, put it that way. Many people won't know her though although I've always had a bit of a soft spot for her.

Anyway, it's still an offence however much some in here want to trivialise it. An unwanted grope is sexual assault, simple as that.

Put it another way, ask yourself if you would be happy if he'd done that your daughter - if the answer is no then you can see that behaviour like that is wholly unacceptable

No idea as I haven't followed the full ins and outs of the case, but the jury did and found him guilty of that charge but not guilty of two others, so they must have seen enough evidence to reach that verdict in their opinion

It's sad the victim blaming that goes on. And then people wonder why people don't go to the police. Even in the face of a conviction, the perpetrator is getting sympathy in some quarters

15 or 20 years ago I sat on a jury that was about historical sexual abuse. While it might be uncommon it's not an entirely new phenomena
