Fuck it I could go on for hours listing all the rock songs that would make equal first place on my list. But all the post 80's stuff like zepplin and purple wont ever feature on my list it just does nothing for me. Rainbow are the only exception.

I love fade to black but it's more metal than rock. Metallica didn't become rock until the the black album or load/reload

Best rock song they have done is either the unforgiven or memory remains.

this thread got me reminiscing ... about how i use to listen to "The Friday Rock Show with Tommy Vance" on radio 1 when i was in my early teens ..... so i googled and it's come up with a site that has quite a few recordings of the show ..... now i ain't listened to rock for quite a while but it's instantly transported me back to 1983 and i've come to realise that there is no "best" rock tune ever 'coz there's hundreds that are so good ,,,, right now 2112 by Rush is playing ..... wonder what's gonna come on next
