I believe in other life forms. Intelligent life forms? I'm skeptical. But the chances of any form of life from not to be present amongst the vast amounts of planetary systems across for trillions upon trillions of stars and planets, would be almost impossible

Of course they exist.

Picture the scene:

you're out walking and you see something in the sky. You don't know what it it.

It's an unidentified flying object.

Doesn't mean aliens.

More stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on the earth, there must be life on some planets around some of those stars somewhere, from a mathematical point of view with those numbers, the odds are in favour of other life supporting planets out there besides earth.

Also watched the documentary series called "Ancient Aliens" which was very interesting.

Considering some top scientists believe it's possible why not?

I agree with my dad, it'd be v arrogant to think we're the only intelligent life form, especially when we're really not that intelligent, fighting n killing each other, not feeding half the world when there's more than enough food to go round...

I don't think we should be arrogant to think we could be the only intelligent lifeform in this universe.

If we were created and evolved then what's to say another similar species don't exist too.

In the documentary series "Ancient Aliens" one theory was put forward that Aliens created the human race, by adding Alien DNA to life forms already on earth such as apes, so that humans became a sort of alien/ape hybrid? Mayans got their knowledge of the stars and astronomy from alien visitors?

Lots of other interesting theories put forward in that documentary series if you are open minded it was quite an eye opener.

Problem with UFO's is if one landed in your garden and an alien or two popped out and said hi can we park our interdimentional time travel vessel here for a couple of hours whilst we pop down to Aldi, you would know what it was so it wouldn't be a UFO when it took off again

I see.

I think that a very specific set of events was necessary to start life on earth and I have no idea what the probability is of it happening elsewhere.

Didn't they find evidence of water having been present on Mars and bacteria living in space?

Why would NASA hoax that there was a face and pyramids on Mars? Perhaps the reason why they can't convince people is that it's not just mountains. No known geophysical erosional or other natural process can create 5 sided pyramids in which the angle of the slope matches the degree of latitude on which it lies.

Erich von Däniken's theories have since been discounted as fanciful - most of his so-called arguments/theories regarding aliens in ancient history, can easily be explained away. Although it does make for good reading!

As an archaeologist and an ancient/prehistorian, humans evolved due to climate change and animal migration in and from Africa, and with the reduction of the ice sheets from the Ice Age in Europe, causing them to migrate from the trees onto the savannah plains and migrate further into the northern hemisphere and the rest of the world.

I do believe that there are indeed intelligent life out there in the universe, but whether they are at the same stage of evolution as us and the same technical or more advanced, with the ability to travel millions of light years across the galaxy, I doubt these UFOs are aliens. Although I'm always open to be proved wrong.

Sure I read that they did another pass over the same area with an HD camera and it was nothing more than a trick of the light.

"Why would NASA hoax "

Most of the pictures released by NASA are enhanced to pick out details, and mainly hand coloured from black and white originals. the human brain is hard wired to find recognised shapes and patterns that's why we see things in clouds etc,

The pictures that get used in the books come from 1970;s cameras at 250 meters per pixel the detail was drawn in by artists

More recent higher definition pictures of "the face" now exist.

It's likely other life forms exist from other planets. The chance of them being so advanced to cross thousands or millions of light years and pop here to do seemingly next to nothing seems ridiculous. Sure UFOs crop up but assume they're just that and not identified.

Precisely. I think the term UFO is misused. UFO does not mean aliens.

Having said that, if we are discussing the existence of Aliens, extra terrestrials, whatever you want to call them, consider that we live on one of Eight planets orbiting a star (our Sun).. There are billions upon billions of stars in our galaxy alone. And there are billions and billions of galaxies in the universe.

Are we that arrogant a species to believe that Planet Earth is the ONLY planet in the universe to sustain life?
