Do you open a thread that you know is going to bore you because it's subject had been asked oh like a million times before and think

A , here we go again then post something along lines of yawn

B , see if the poster is new which we all were at once and so offer some advice

C, don't even look to see who has posted just tell them to search for answers

D, read it but don't comment or

E , pass by. ?

Me I tend to do either E or D.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I try and help, but sometimes if it's the 5th time of the day I vary this.

I think the yawn oh here we go again comments are pointlessly rude and make people look beyond arrogant

Sometimes ill offer advice, sometimes ill ignore, depends on how I feel,I find there are lots of people usually happy to give constructive advice

If I respond the way I do it depends on the attitude of the op and to an extent the way other people have responded.

If someone clearly just wants validation that they are akin to the next messiah I'm less helpful and if they're getting a bashing from other people I try and balance that out.

Mixture of b, d and e for me.

I do think stickies might help on some subjects and prevent the continual duplicate threads.

Possibly but what about the constant fuck, suck or chuck or one above threads? They're boring and repetitive in

my opinion but forums are a place where anyone can post about any allowable subject and I wouldn't want to

see that change.

D or E mostly. Good morning threads from the same people every day I simply ignore.

Angus & Findhorn

if I can add value in some way, I will comment.

otherwise, I just pass by.

there are threads asked a million times but more often than not it will be the first thread that person has created. Take a few seconds to say something encouraging.

if they keep asking the same question over and over again, I will usually comment they may need to change their approach, or ignore.

If a time comes where i'd bump in to you again. Just ask me 'Pops, is that my cheese in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?'

I think most threads are boring. I get bored easily and switch to Mahjong

I tend to post full of hope and desire to impart new knowledge, get instantly bored with that and just get acerbic.

I'd comment. If the thread is boring. Why not try and liven it up a little.

I don't think it matters if the question/or a similar thread has been done before. The poster must have felt the need to ask it. So, why not answer?
